We have hiked & swam here. Enjoyed both. Really do wonder how clean the water is though, rather concerning. Have ate at rest. up near the hotel here also. The food was just normal with high prices. Wished snack area near beach would have been open. Another poster said it was $6 per person, it is not. It is $6... More

The short trail around the lake was about 5.75 miles and my 10 and 7 y/o girls were able to make it..spray some insect repellent though, the campsite was great, we're close to the clean bathroom and water supply, kayaking and swimming in a cool water is fun but the lake is not good for fishing because there's a lot... we took a dip in the lake, hiked on the trails and enjoyed the day with lots of beautiful foliage and nature surrounding us!

Our camp site was on the lake so our view was absolutely gorgeous. Campground was relatively quiet in Ironwood. Bathhouse was not in the best order. Campgrounds are patrolled regularly so security is not an issue.

I spent last weekend in Rocky Gap park July 17,18,19 in site A2. The park was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy peaceful nature. I am very appreciative of the large camp sites and the space from the neighboring sites. I would love to come again and spend a week. The park is kept in first class condition, neat,... More

We enjoyed our weekend at Rocky Gap. The only part we didn't like is that we felt big brother was watching us. Almost every hour the DNR drove around our loop and one time we got a stare down from the driver while we were sitting and eating dinner. While I appreciate that they are driving around I think it... We have enjoyed Rocjy Gap State Park for well over 15 years; however must say that this trip was a real disappointment. We reserved a cabin, Check in is no earlier than 3pm, and checkout is no later than noon. The cabin was FILTHY on the inside and on the porch. The picnic area had not been picked up either.... More

I've lived in the area most of my life I had always heard that rocky gap was nice. This is the first time I have been here. The forth of July. Knowing that they were going to be busy you would think they would staff enough to empty dumpsters that are overflowing and trash blowing everywhere and have someone cleaning... More

The six mile or so hike around the lake is harder than it sounds with much of the trail covered with roots and stones. However if you take your time it is worth the effort. The park is wel maintained and heavily visited so it must be a local favorite. The campgrounds we passed were well maintained and had ample... More

Three man made beaches surround the crystal clear reservoir named Lake Habib. You pitch a tent, stay in a cabin, rent a house, bring your RV, or stay across the lake at the casino hotel. You can bike, hike, rent a boat, fish, or try bow hunting. I went to the multiplex movie theater in LaVale several times during my... More
