Great vibe, great place for music, too much alcohol!

Wow - what a concert with the Allman Bros. and Santana. Good old Merriweather. Very cool outdoor spot to see a concert. I have loved coming to this place since I was a kid... read more

When Merriweather was first planned, it was for the community to enjoy music. Now the community is overwhelmed with excessive sound levels and restrictions on bringing in lawn chairs and picnic baskets. The good old days are exactly that, and the current days are extremely unfriendly.

Always a good time and a great place to see a show. The acoustics inside the pavillion are excellent. Just watch out for the hot summer nights. You are shaded, but we all know what the humidity can be like around this part of town. Enjoy the Shows!!!

Wow - what a concert with the Allman Bros. and Santana. Good old Merriweather. Very cool outdoor spot to see a concert. I have loved coming to this place since I was a kid - seeing / hearing so many bands - too many to mention. The woodsy outdoor vibe is very cool and just walking around the inside and... More

The Merriweather Post Pavillion is one of my favorite places to see a show. The seriously sloped seating layout makes every seat a great vantage point (even if you are behind one of those vedry tall people). It is truly an aoasis in the country, even though it is in the middle of Columbia, MD. The acoustics are great, and... More

Had not been to Merriweather Post since the 80's, but love the intimate feel of the place (for an ampitheater). Had seats under the awning, but spent the evening on the lawn, as it had better sightlines (big vieo screen) and much better sound. Good selection of food, not a great beer selection, though (look around, the concession stands differ).... More

I have been going to concerts here for 10+ years. I also graduated on stage there. It's a great place for concerts. The lawn is amazing, its a perfect size big but not overwhelming. i just absolutely love merriweather and so happy its still around!

Wait every year to see who the lineup for Sunday in the country. Love this location . If the groups are worth it, then I get my seats early and fast.

Huge selection of high quality stores. Nice food court with restaurant serving nutritious foods (i.e. Chipotle).

Parking is the only issue at Merriweather but its worth it. I prefer to get seats in the pavillion because I always seems to get there early to get a good lawn seat and then people come late and crowd almost on top of me. I wish we could take food and beverages for a picnic like you can at... More
