Very dated facility built in the early '70s, ( designed by Frank Gehry..not Frank Lloyd Wright) I'm not even sure it was intended to be perminate. Originally the summer home of the National Symphony before they decamped for the MUCH superior facility at Wolf Trap, it has had its ups and downs as a jazz/ pop/ rock venue. Now managed... More

Easy to get to. We parked at the shopping mall across the street and walked over (this seemed to be the thing to do). Although the lines were long, they moved very quickly. Very good view from center left section. You are allowed to bring in an empty water bottle (1 per person) or a factory sealed full water bottle.... More

Just another typical shed venue but the lawn is steep and you can't see a thing. Terrible design. The pavilion sound is great.

My husband and I like to see Phish whenever we can so subsequently we have been to more than our share of medium sized outdoor concert venues over the years. This is the first review I have written because I was so impressed with Merriweather. In short, it is a phenomenal place to see a show. Cool wooded location, friendly... More

The restrooms were very dirty for the first graduation of the day in May - a seasons worth of dirt, spiders, etc - no excuse for the lack of cleaning. Otherwise the facility has been showing its age for quite a while. the hilly paths limit access for many .

This year's festival was not a good experience. There was several changes and it was not communicated up front.

Merriweather is a great concert venue. It's got a great location with plenty of parking. You can buy tickets on site when they go on sale avoiding the pricey add on's that ticketmaster/ticketfly charge. The seating is adequate and the path to the seats down the aisles does not involve steps, which is great when you're trying to move in... More

Every year, I look forward to lineup of artists who play this beautiful venue, set in the green areas of Columbia, Maryland. Even the cheap seats on the lawn, give you a great view of the stage and a wonderful outdoor evening experience featuring great music. I strongly recommend that you visit and enjoy a pleasant evening, especially if one... More
