I went here to get away from Baltimore and it is a very peaceful place. The area has a lot of history with a quaint village and shop from colonial times, i believe. Beautiful rocky river, the gunpowder, with little falls along the way. Great place for tubing and wading. Has a little cabinet with books you can take out... More

Was driving by Jerusalem village and stopped. Didn't even realize the walking trails were there until I was ready to leave....glad I didn't miss them. It was a beautiful day maybe a little on the warm side but I decided to give it a try. Didn't walk on any of the wooded trails because they were so muddy just made... More

Gunpowder Falls State Park is large state park in Harford and Baltimore Counties, consisting of several non-contiguous sections along Big and Little Gunpowder Falls. Note that these are not in fact waterfalls, but refer to rivers. We were up near Baltimore for a wedding and came here to go hiking before the ceremony and went to the Jerusalem Mill area.... More

I almost don't want to review it because it's such a gem and want to keep it for ourselves :) Quite picturesque with well-marked trails. Birch trees galore, with the occasional sightings of beaver, snakes, eels. People do swim in the river (shhhh!) and it's common to encounter dogs and horses along the trails. It gets crowded on the weekends... More

Great day for a hike. Unfortunately park of the trail was closed for construction and detour was not clearly marked. I remember going here as a kid and would be better if it was taking care of. Hopefully the current construction will be an upgrade.

There are 4 routes to take for hikes. I like Pot Rocks best. The end is fantastic. worth the hike. This is a great place to hike in both winter and summer. During the summer months, people swim at Pot Rocks!

Went there for a day trip for hiking with family and friends. The kids loved it. There are multiple entrance to the state park . There are signs missing in some parts, best not to venture into those parts. The rest of the area is very well marked. there is a beautiful little creek right in the middle. The hike... More

Our church holds their annual picnic in the park, Great for large groups and celebrations. Plenty of parking spaces, picnic tables and grills. Nature and green pasture at best. That we love Perry Hall as home, It has everything.

Locals visit this beach because of a short drive. The sand is dirty and if you go on a weekend it is packed. Weekdays are not much better because only one of the beach areas is open for swimming even though there are four swim beaches. You will not be able to see let alone save your child if there... More
