It kills me that my daughter (3.5) loves this place so much. It's no surprise that she does - it's a messy free-for-all with lots of stuff to get into. But I agree with many other commentators about the place being a bit run down, feeling dirty. Boxes in the grocery store area are falling apart and taped back together... More

This is such a cute idea. It's obvious the place is operating on a tight budget but if you take that into consideration this is a great place to spend a couple hours. My six year old daughter loved it. Grandma's attic had antiques to peruse complete with an old typewriter and an a electric organ which could be played... More

The stations (rooms) are not regularly put back in order, so elements of the activity get strewn around into other rooms. There was no staff around to help handle animals, provide play dough, or dispense treats. Seemed to just be someone with the pay for painting a craft area or ticket person. Was a bit icky. I really wonder how... More

My son and I found the Playseum underwhelming and disappointing. It's a cute concept, but very poorly executed. Here is why it didn't work for us: 1) The space is poorly maintained. The carpet is stained, the walls desperately need a new coat of paint (and even have holes and gashes in some spots), and everything feels cluttered even when... More

The idea behind this kid's museum is on target, but the areas themselves are grungy and sloppily designed. The cost, at $7 a person is quite high given that my son was done playing in about 20 minutes. Also, any activities, such as painting, etc. came at an additional cost. The painting area that was free was gross. I have... More

Playseum is a wonderful place to take your kids to enjoy helping them learn to use and expand their imaginations. Located downstairs in a building on Wisconsin Avenue... you and your young kids can choose from a myriad if games and activities from decorating cupcakes to making your own toothpaste. Hear a story or learn to play an instrument. The... More

We took our one and half year old there yesterday and we could not wait to get out. This place is plain disgusting. It feels like you were in a dirty small storage area with bunch of junk thrown around. I doubt anyone ever cleans the place. Carpets are NASTY. Toys are old and dirty. We will never ever set... It was the most terrible birthday party, which we organized for my daughter. Staff had no attention to guests and children. We paid 200 bucks for a holiday, where it was stated, that every child and adult gets cake and drinks, as a result, the staff set the table just for kids, milk poured into small cups. When we asked... More

We were visiting my sister who lives nearby and my 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old had a great time exploring the various spaces there. Favorites included the bunnies and turtle room, the safari and Grandma's attic.

Way too loud, cramped, they need limits on how many ripple can be there at one time! Harried....insane....expensive. They're holding g parents hostage on rainy cold days.
