While visiting John Hancock's Warf we decided to walk to Steadman woods(5 minute walk away). It takes less than 15 minutes to walk the trail in the woods and there is cool little bridge either at the front or rear of the trip depending on where you start. Its also on a nice living river which adds to the beauty.

We stumbled upon this beautiful location by accident. It was pristine with beautiful views and trails. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to check this area out.

A nice way to start the day, I'm not sure if there would be mosquitos here in the summer months, but in May all I saw were a few people taking their (off leash) dogs on an adventure.

We were out exploring, taking a morning walk and happened upon this area. It was fun crossing the little wiggly bridge and a smal stroll through the woods. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way, but if you're in the area it's a nice, easy walk

With only a few parking spaces, it makes this area a nice quiet place. When the tide is right you can picnic and swim, walk the paths and fish. a little slice of heaven in York.

Take my grandchildren there every year to fish. My grandson still remembers the year he almost caught 'THE BIG, BIG BASS"!! Fun nature trail through the woods. Grandkids (7 and younger) thought it was great.

Best part of the wiggly bridge is getting there, along the "fisherman's path" by the York River and some of the grand old houses.

We went there in September when the summer folks were gone, but we weren't quite sure where to park. Where we ended up parking said it was permit parking, but we weren't ticketed. Otherwise, this was a lovely place!

This is great place to walk and explore with your kids. Ours 2 + 4. We did need to hold their hands over the bridge but the woods are manageable for the little guys. Right now there are a bunch of teepees made out of fallen branches in an area and our boys loved explore and playing in them. There... More
