I prefer the sand and the space of the Long Sand Beach. However it's close to the arcade and a lot of good restaurants, which is perfect for families.

Beautiful beach and town. We had no trouble finding a parking spot both days we were there. The beach is very clean. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy the sun or swim in the cool water. Large clean bathrooms.

So very busy! Had a very hard time finding a parking spot; ended up paying $15 for the day to park in a field beside someone's house. After a short walk, we meandered through town enjoying the sights. It was my first time in York but he's been going for 40+ years so he knew some special spots to see... More

My sister & her husband frequent this beach fairly regularly. While I was on vacation they took me here. Very cute beach town. To get parking get there early in the morning, before 10am or else you'll have some trouble finding parking right at the beach. It was fairly busy the day I went but as the tide went out... More

Our favorite beach spot. Small. Family oriented. Just enough. Great food and fun shops. Not too big. Not too small. Brand new nice restrooms!!

The name does not lie, it is a small beach. It has much around it to do and walk to. There is not a great amount of parking, so be ready to hunt around during peak season. I also suggest getting down to the beach early in the summer, it fills up and hard to find a good spot midday.... More

We came to York for the beaches and they did not disappoint. The beach was nice and sandy, our kids enjoyed playing in the waves on their boogie boards. I am use to less crowded beaches in Canada however we were able to find a spot each day on the beach if we got there nice and early.

Small beach - okay but not a favorite. Most people go for the attractions - Wild animal kingdom, food, candy etc.

pleasantly surprised this year to find new bathroom facility at the beach, huge improvement over the one it replaced. Also surprised to find full time facility attendant there. This beach has many small shops and attractions for the young at heart nearby, I consider it a great family beach and good for couples evenings. Parking by meter +/- $1/hr.
