Small cute little beach. Scenic. Park, playground, lots of shops, arcade, candlepin bowling restauraunts, a zoo and amusement park, all with in a 5 minute radius walk. Paid parking with restrooms. This can be a relaxing place, with just the right amount of entertainment/night life to keep the kids happy too. I have been going here since i was a... More

Short beach is not as beautiful as the neighboring beaches. The crowd is interesting - a mix of young and old, across different demographics.

It fills up very quickly on a sunny day, by 10 AM finding a parking space may be tough. It is inexpensive to park, but have quarters for the meters. The beach is clean, sand is soft, and the water is cold but refreshing. It is an easy walk out, as the slope is not too bad, and the waves... More

Another beautiful week at Short Sands (the week of July 7th). My only compliant is the rocks going into the water. Best margaritas at Guac N Roll.

This is a great place for families. It does fill up early, some people staking there spots as early 7am. Lots of activities in the area when its time to get out of the sun. Prices in the shops around the beach seem reasonable.

Bottom Line: This review is mainly for the activities and areas around the beach. Details: We initially planned to visit during the day but stopped by one afternoon around 5 and came back every evening at the same time. We had our own beach next to our hotel so we didn't take advantage of this one. From what I could... More

We visited this beach on a Thursday morning in July. Easy parking in a large lot if you're there early. We arrived at 8am and parked right next to the beach. Lot was full around 10am. Beach access is by ramp. The sand was deep near the wall so it was it tough to pull our wagon across it. The... More

Once the tide comes in there is almost no beach left so get there early to stake your spot out. Bathrooms at parking area are very clean & maintained.
