We go to York Beach off season (spring or fall) with our dog and love it. The parking is easy and free along the ocean road, with easy beach access. Dogs can go on the beach from after labor day until before memorial day (which is the off season), all day without restriction. You are supposed to keep ithem leashed...... More

Short Sands is in the heart of the action! The parking is metered, but definitely worth it! There is a big park with covered seating for family picnics and a children's playground with basketball courts. You can get anything to eat within a short walk or just take a stroll in the nearby shops. More

Went to visit the beach to relax and get away from it all, and Short Sands is great! It's a small beach but there are restaurants and shops around that give it a charm of it's own! More

My Wife and I are "Big Fans" of the East Coast beaches. A little crowded but a very nice example of a New England sandy beach. We try to visit an East Coast beach at least once every summer but Short Sands is so charming we can't wait to go back. More

Shorts Sands Beach is right across the street from our favorite hotel, the Sands by the Sea. We love coming to the Sands, because it's so close to the best beach in ME! More

The Gaezebo at Short Sands is the perfect romantic spot to propose, get married and return to yearly. The beach is small and intimate and right in front of York Beach Town w/hotels and restuarants to suit your wants. More

Not a large beach area but a good place for families. Lifeguards stationed there. Small arcade by the beach and a number of good restaurants across from it. The water is not rough and a good spot for young children. More

As with Long Sands, be sure to visit other places in the area. More
