Nice long stretch of beach for a walk. Careful at high tide there are lot of areas with rocks. Parking is a premium but everyone seems to figure it out. The water is a beautiful color.

Quiet, pristine beach. Can be rocky and at high tide you may find yourself atop rocks to sun yourself, but very clean and pleasant. Parking is a bear. Get there early and bring mucho quarters!

It's a great beach. If you don't live nearby, you will have to pay to park, but it's an absolutely fantastic beach with great water.

york beach me ...will always hold a place in my heart ...my whole life ...this is where we vacationed...so family friendly...just plain fun...for all ages...the arcade...the salt water taffy...standing for hours ...watching the process of the taffy being formed ...the french fries ....drizzled with vinegar..and salt ....the center of town ...always a bustle and buzz...i mean the kind of place... Love this beach, but parking is at a premium! You can rent rafts to enjoy the waves or just soak up the sun! Great walking beach!

Nice beach. Easy to get to. Metered parking right along the beach which is convenient. Very family-friendly and family-oriented beach. The only downside is that you can not be on the beach during high-tide. Beautiful, clean, sandy, great waves and awesome rocks to climb on.

We visited Long Sands as the tide was coming in, about 3 hours before high tide. By the time we left an hour later, the water was up to the rocks on the west side of the long crescent. I saw some folks sitting on the rocks (not good with chairs or children). There may have been sand towards the... More

The beach itself was great. I like that the bottom in the water had no rocks and seaweed. There is not much sand....only rocks then mud but there was lots to explore in the rocks in between the beach areas. The beach itself was not crowded. We went at 3pm. The worst was trying to find a place to park.... More

First of all the beach and the water are inundated with a weird foreign seaweed. Seems like it could be an invasive species of some sort. Very unfortunate. There is little in the way of parking and traffic is horrendous. The beach itself has plenty of room and the water temperature was bearable.

We enjoyed this beach as it was so nice and sandy and larger than the Short Sands Beach so we had more room to ourselves. The kids loved the water and playing in the sand for hours, a great family day!
