We were there Oct. 20 , after the busy season. Parking no problem. Almost no one there. I can see that at high tide, there is little dry sand, especially on the southern section. Nice firm sand for walking.

Beautiful beach that goes on for a very long time. Restaurants and hotels along the way. Easy parking. Enjoyed the walk on the beach on a foggy October day. Loved it

The York Beach area of Maine is one of our favorite spots to get away for long weekends. The town is relaxing. Sit on the beach and you can watch the surfers in the ocean all day. The water is cold but the beach is long and beautiful. Also perfect for long walks.

Loved the walk on the beach! Not too crowded, but plenty of people to see. Water was cold, but exactly what I wanted.

Long sands is a beautiful, relaxing beach. You can walk along the beach while watching the waves crash on the rocks. The beach is so clean and it's great off season as well as busy season.

Ver nice beach quiet at times but seems there is always room for more. We were there when the waves were hitting the seawall quite a sight.

Long Sands (except at high tide) is a long and wide strand that feels wonderful on the bare soles, almost like moist concrete, and downright beautiful. Toward the Nubble Light end (east) we found quite a bit of beach glass as an added bonus! I wish there were bargain opportunities for parking, but frankly it's WORTH it! Bring change to... More

Long Sands beach is a beautiful stretch of well over a mile with sand more conducive to a long leisurely walk than a place to put down the towel and tan. The sand is very hard. Dogs are allowed prior to 8:00 am.

Love Long Sands beach, but what little of it is left at high tide is covered in seaweed. At low tide, there is plenty of sand to walk on and a few sections of rocks that trap sea creatures. On-street parking is metered - some local land owners provide parking by the day.
