This beach is great for families with children. When it is low tide, take a beautiful walk along the 1 1/2 miles of beach looking out onto Cape Neddick "Nubble" Lighthouse. There a places along the beach to get food, rent rafts, and look under rocks for crabs, starfish and sand dollars. There is metered parking, so get there early... More

We just love coming here. It's a great walking beach -- especially the northern end. (The sandy part of the southern end, near the trailer parks, can get covered by water at high tide.) In the distance is Nubble Light. And Long Sands has plenty of beach culture -- places to eat and lodge directly across the street.

We were off season but we loved walking the length of the beach. Maine beaches are rocky unlike NJ beaches.

We have been coming here for years, driving most of the night just enjoy the peacefulness of the sun rise, the quiet beach to take our bassets for a walk and the wonderful people that you meet in the morning with there dog's. What a wonderful job the people of York have done to maintain this beech so clean. Even... More

It was chilly and breezy, but the sun was shining. The beach is beautiful. Lots of rocks and shells for looking at. The rocks are beautiful, each one so different. Lots of exploring for kids!

Endless beach great for long walks. Crowded in peak season but very nice when the crowds aren't as bad.

A nice beach , a bit like Hampton but the businesses are run down and plain awful . Parking is impossible to find so drive up to Ogunquit .

I must see and experience - try in the off season for a quiet experience. If children, summer is a must

Some tacky houses along the street, but great sand, good waves, very clean, good people watching, easy access to food and drink. Parking cheap.

During the dead of summer getting a parking spot is not so easy. If you are lucky and find one, it is a beautiful beach that you can sit and relax even with many people being there. The beach seems big enough for everyone to spread out. I have never experienced loud radios and people letting their kids run within... More
