Long Beach is a people and dog friendly stretch of beach in York, Maine. Beach does disappear at high tide but the beach is worth going to. Sandy is silky soft and the waves are soft and rolling. You can walk out quite always before being in water that is deeper than 3 feet. Bring you beach towel or chair... More

Don't expect soft sandy beaches here, the sand is packed from the tide and it sticks like crazy to your shoes and blankets. Lots of rocks between the stairways so there may be short distances between stairs to walk down to the beach. There is a changing house mid-way down the strip and be prepared to feed the meter $.25/15... More

Ocean beach for several miles, be sure to find an easy access staircase for entry to the beach and near restrooms.

Be sure to hit the beach mid-tide. There isn't much beach when the tide is high. The north end may have more sand but this does change depending on recent storm activity. Street parking is metered and heavily enforced.

Beautiful beach that is clean and cool. The waves are a blast to swim in and the sand is nice and soft. They also have an accessible bath house with a bathroom.

Very fun place to be. Been going there for 21 years. My family and I are going up again this year for our annual trip. We always have fun. Beach is clean, relaxing, and you can see the lighthouse depending on what part of the beach you're on.

One of the best beaches in Maine. Huge beach at low tide makes it a great beach for activities. Waves are big the west end. Plenty of parking but get there early to ensure a place. Lots of food to walk too. Bath house is right in the middle, so pretty convenient... Love this beach. Enjoy.

Great clean walking beach. You can even bring your dog, which was great. We've been here a few times & enjoyed it every time. Usually late afternoon when it's less crowded.

Nice beach, but when the tide comes in, there isn't much room, so you are sitting on top of your neighbors. Not too much going on on the street, but there is a general store and a restaurant One bath house with bathrooms for the whole beach. Glorious views of the Nubble Lighthouse and Boone Island. Get there early for... More

This is the perfect place to walk off dinner and bring your furry buddy along with you. I love the beach but hate the crowds so I'm an evening visitor, even as a resident of this wonderful town! We used to go up to the Nubble to Brown's for ice cream but sadly, they have been replaced. Going to have... More
