Love the zoo, a lot to see and do. Nice Clean facility, needs more restrooms. Butterfly exhibit is amazing. Nice just to spend the day walking around and checking out the animals. Food is nothing to write home about, will bring our own picnic lunches the next time we visit, and we do plan to visit again. We did the... More

The zoo is small but has a decent selection of animals. My small children were quite entertained. It was a little convoluted though I think by mixing up the animals (rather than putting all the monkeys in one area, all the birds in another), it provided a bit more variance. Small enough to do in a couple hours, it's perfect... More

We only went to the Fun Park this time. Children were 4 and 5 1/2 and they enjoyed all the rides that they could go on alone. The nice part about this little amusement park is you can get an all day rides pass for a reasonable amount. They offer rides for smaller children and a little more advanced rides... More

This is a must see. We spent 5+ hours at the park. The zoo was clean and well taken care of. The rides were fun, but older. I would recommend doing the combo zoo/ ride package. If you look at the area maps or find a flyer they usually have coupons for a couple of dollars off. I would go... More

I was so saddened to read some of these terrible reviews of this park. I must say that being so close to the southern border of Maine you must get a lot of visitors who are not from Maine but my family and I are from Maine, born and lived here our entire lives. My husband and I have 5... More

The carneys are horrible, scary, and keep their their namesake proud. The bathrooms are disgusting, the grounds not much better. The rides are old and make Palace Playland look like Disney. Go to Funtown. It is a shame Maine does not have a quality zoo. Tourists please save your money and spend it 30 minutes north at the parks and... More

The Zoo: The zoo has paved walking paths, partially shaded. There were lots of animals to see, especially primates. We also did the paddle boats (included in entrance fee) which was fun. We brought our own food in to save money but it seemed like there were plenty of options for in-park food (not much for vegetarians though). The seating... More

Old fashioned rides, some that have probably been there since I used to visit as a kid and were fun to ride again. Lots of animals to see, butterfly garden was beautiful!

This zoo was a big surprise. 1st time here. Took my infant son and nephews 3yrs old and 10yrs old. We had such a great time at the zoo. This place is extremely clean and has many different animals. My son loved the butterfly exhibit best. I think that was my favorite too. Staff on hand was very friendly and... More
