I can only echo the good things that past patrons have said about this excellent cafe. We ate here instead of at our hotel which was noisy and expensive. The waiting staff were from Eastern Europe and they were patient and worked hard. Spoke to both the Owner and his wife who were very pleasant.

Have gone to this cafe for several years running. They serve lobster rolls, friend fish, crab cakes, homemade pies and ice cream. Food is consistently high quality and delicious. We are partial to the crab cakes, scallops and ice cream. Very nice effective staff. Nice people / solid comfort food. This place is far better than the many tourist traps... More

We decided to eat here one night on a whim. Just a little hole in the wall, more like a snack shop but the food is great! One of 5 lobster rolls I had in Maine and it was one of the Best! Prices were decent too, that seemed a little unusual for Maine!

Once again back to our favorite place on MDI. I had the Lobster Soup and it was Fantastic! Also the all time BEST blue berry pie. This place never disappoints.

This old-fashioned cafe in downtown Southwest Harbor is a great place to have lunch, get a sweet snack, or both. We had the fish and chips, which was obviously made with fresh fish and tasted great. Ice cream is available in your choice of hard serve or soft serve, and we chose chocolate mint soft served and loved it. We... More

After a long day of hiking this is a great place to settle in for an early supper on the way home from your adventures. Plenty of outdoor seating and dog friendly. Best pizza I have ever had!

Owner and staff stayed open late for 2 hungry hikers! Food was great and we did not feel rushed. Thank you!

I like to visit Quiet Side Cafe whenever I visit Bar Harbor. I ride the Island Explorer over to Southwest Harbor and have lunch here. The owners are very nice and the food is good. I think more than anything I just like the feel of the place :) comfortable and cozy inside, breezy and open outside.

Among the many "touristy" places that offer the usual lobster roll and pizza, is this local, "homey" feeling, eatery. The most wonderful lobster roll, BLT sub, and greek pizza. Me, my husband and my sister went several times during our stay on MDI and every single time we were greeted warmly, served with a smile, and made to feel like... More

Before exploring the far end of Acadia National Park, we stopped in here for lunch and we were not disappointed. My wife had a wrap and I had a pastrami sandwich and both were really good. My daughter loved the Islander Special pizza which is loaded with lobster, crab and shrimp all sauteed in garlic butter. Although we were all... More
