Only one keeper cod but plenty of pollack, Charlie fillet probably over 200 little fish, we cooked our share and they were excellent (not one bone found). Interesting seeing how lobster are caught, a lottery distributed the catch among the 32 passengers. Stopped to see some seals sunning themselves. It was hard to hear the crew explaining stuff. had a... More

Party of 4 adults but should of taken nices and nephews. Weather was a little windy when we left. Charlie and captain happy low key. Barb was more of the people person. Good trip and spotted about +30 seals. Fished for about 90-120 minutes, think the boat caught its limit. We did have 1 cod keeper. From lobster side the... More

We went on a great trip, caught our limit of pollack for the boat, caught some cod but no keepers (raised the limit to 21 inches this year from 19) so close on a few of them. A few other fish. Charlie and the Captain are low key, no stress, pragmatic folks. They work hard and are a wealth of... More

I am a trip leader from an boys overnight camp in Maine. Every summer we take a multi-day camping trip to Acadia with 12-15 kids. The Vagabond and her crew has always been happy to have us. The fishing is often one of the highlights of the trip that the kids talk about for the rest of the summer. Of... More

Agreed: smoking Captain, crowded, not informative or entertaining during the times fish werent biting (pretty much all of the 5 hr), inattentive to those seasick, etc. Several of us voiced being ready to head in after 4 hours. The crew (2) was uninterrested. We checked what seemed way too many lobster traps based on the number of ill passengers and... More

I have been going on the vagabond for seven years and have never been disappointed. The crew is knowkedgable and helpful. They work hard to ensure each passenger has a great experience. I have been taking my children the past several years and they love it. Not only is the vagabond a fishing trip, they cruise along the shores of... More

My husband and I were not impressed with this trip. The boat was uncomfortably overcrowded. The crew and passengers were allowed to smoke anywhere on the boat. We hate the smell of smoke, and it was impossible to get away from it. We didn't go out on the ocean to smell cigarettes for three hours. My husband's line got a... More

We did a private family charter for a memorial service. The captian and his crew were incredible! We had a number of special requests that were all accommodated. After the serious business was taken care of, the Capt. and crew assisted with the fishing and fun. The most fun was taking part in the fisherman experience......filleting the catch, pulling the... Jon the captain is so nice and accommodating. You catch a lot of fish and get lobsters too. Can't beat this Vagabond!

I think that my husband and I were the only people out of 26 or so that did not catch any fish, but we still had a really great time, based largely on the lobster experience part of the trip. The captain takes you out about an hour's trip to the fishing area. You probably spend about an hour to... More
