Pros 1. great guide, very informative University professor on his summer job. could have been Mike Rowe's brother (dirty job) 2. Family saw alot of seals - more than i could count, quite entertaining 3. Kayaked right under a large Bald eagle and watched it take off after giving us the evil eye - really thrilling Cons 1. Spent a... More

Our Sea Kayak tour on Sept 12 was great. Our guide Fletch was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable about any aspect of Arcadia National Park and Mt Desert Island. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather and to see bald eagles, osprey, and seals. My wife who was somewhat reluctant to go sea kayaking even though we have our... More

We couldn't have asked for a better outing - our guide Joel and all the staff were fantastic, the equipment was excellent, this was a top-notch operation from start to finish. (We didn't even have to haul our own boats up from the beach, what a luxury!) The level was just right - not overly strenuous so that you're struggling... More

A wonderful way to spend the afternoon - lot's a sea and birdlife. Great to paddle one way - quiet and peaceful on the day we went. More

Went on the 4 hour Kayak tour. Our guide was Fletcher who had an amazing knowledge of the history of Acadia. He delighted us all with his many facts about the history and development of the island. He served as an excellent guide, having patience with the various skill level in the group. We saw a bald eagle, osprey, and... More

We did a sunset Kayak tour with Lou as our guide. It was fanatstic. He was telling us everything about the wildlife we saw to the geolocial structures we paddled by. And a huge history buff sharing his knowledge of Mout Dessert Island on the van ride over. The kayaking was not too difficult and it was beautiful to be... More

My husband and I just returned from a New England road trip that included three nights in Bar Harbor. We chose to go with this kayaking company because they were on the "quieter" side of the island. We're SO glad we did. Having the experience of Rob, our leader, provided our group with an excellent kayaking experience. Seeing this part... More

We had such a great time on our very first kayak trip. Fletcher is a terrific guide - he's a huge history buff and enthusiastically shares his knowledge with the group. We can't improve on the reviews below . . . they cover it all. We stayed in Manset - so Maine State Sea Kayak was just a few (5)... More

These guys are right - cruise over from bar harbor and paddle the west side. Less traffic on water, get out of frenchman's bay. The operation is very well oiled - fletcher is an eager talker and they will gear the trip up or down depending on group's capabilities. They also go point to point and have you paddle down... More

Maine State Sea Kayak took us on a 6.4 mile kayak trip up the coast of the western side of Mt Desert Island. I think we started out around Squid Cove and finished at Clark Cove. Fletcher and Matt were great. Fletcher was our actual guide on the trip and was so knowledgeable about everything. He gave us a great... More
