We had a wonderful afternoon on the water with our guide,Corky, and 6 other tandem kayaks. The staff insured a good experience through every step of the outing. Corky did a nice job orienting us to the trip, establishing trust & fellowship and providing information about the wildlife and island during the paddle. We had a few seals follow our... More

We are experienced paddlers and experience was first rate from beginning to end. Most on trip were not experienced and they also had great time. Wonderful area to paddle, not to be missed! Guide was top notch, other staff were friendly and helpful, and equipment was in good shape. See Maine waters, seals, eagle's nest, etc.

A truly great trip but I guess we were probably helped by a tailwind and a following tide! The girl in the SW Harbor office was so helpful and our guide Corky deserves to be a bit of a legend! May seem expensive but we really did enjoy it. Our 14 year old loved it and being trusted with a... More

We had a great time on our recent sea kayaking adventure with Maine State Sea Kayak. Alayna, our tour guide, was wonderful and helpful. She gave a great tour and managed to keep our group of 6 kayaks moving at a reasonable pace with enough stops to enjoy the scenery. We saw lots of seals, osprey (one dove and caught... More

We loved Maine State Sea Kayak. The location was easy to find with great on-site parking. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and great guides. The wildlife we hoped to see came out, which gave us an experience to remember.

We took the sunset trip on our last day of vacation. It could not have been more perfect. The weather was beautiful and our trip we saw bald eagles and seals (one popped up behind our kayak). Our guide Corky was very informative and made sure we took time to enjoy the scenery. We had previously taken a kayak trip... More

We went on the Sunset Kayak (4-8 pm). I had selected the sunset trip because I thought we’d see more wildlife, but we saw very little. The boats were nice, with foot-pedal-operated rudders, and spray skirts. They took us by van south of Southwest Harbor, where we began our paddle, and then picked us up near Pretty Marsh, where we... We took the afternoon Sea Kayak tour on June 15th. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, light winds, and a great stretch or water to paddle from Pretty Marsh to Seal Cove. Everyone on the staff at Maine State Sea Kayak treated us in a warm, professional, and courteous manner. Our guide, Jake, provided instructions on the equipment and... More
