This is a winter review, which will make a difference for the reader as facilities are closed but the access road is plowed to the main gate so some parking is available. The park has open areas as well as ungroomed trails that run through the woods and along the shore overlooking the bay. It is a great place for... More

One of our favorite walks in Maine is when we're camping in Searsport. It's about a twenty minute walk where we collect shells, drift wood and sea glass while hearing the birds and once in a while seeing a porpoise or seal. There is every kind of Maine beach along the way and tidal pools full of life to see... More

The park is lovely with lots of picnic tables, benches, BBQs, a large fairly level play area and lots of walking trails with very friendly dog walkers. The parking area is fairly small and may get crowded at busy times.

Lots of friendly dog walkers, picnickers, people walking for fitness and passing us over and over, and people enjoying the view. It's a small park. Really small. The trails are partially paved but mostly hard packed dirt. No stairs (other than down to the beach). Accessible bathrooms but very very heavy doors and poor lighting. We were able to get... More

This is a nice park with views of the ocean and several walking trails. A good way to burn some calories after breakfast.

Explored this one with my boys when they were younger. There is a nice easy little trail along the coast that is pertty level. My boys love this one! We have been here a couple of times and it does not disappoint. Great picnic spot, too!

Moose Point State Park, just a few miles out of Belfast, Maine, is a gem in the Maine State Parks system. Beautiful trails next to the Penobscot Bay, a large area for running and picnicking and a chance to walk on the rocky shore. I come here every year, usually with the dog; I have to keep her on a... I don't know that I'd make this small state park a destination for the day, but it is clean and pleasant; has good new bathrooms, terrific views of Penobscot Bay, and a variety of sunny/grassy, shady/woodsy, as well as covered sites for a meal. The beach is rocky and weedy and fun to stroll; fairly easy to land in a... More

Lovely state park with picnic tables right at the water and with many in the shade of trees. They have several short walking trails through the woods along with a beautiful view of Penobscot Bay.

Short easy hikes along the shore, good birding, occasional sightings of seals, great picnic sites, grills. Also a nice meadow to throw a frisbee, run your dogs. In winter a great place for a short cross-country ski. Lovely place just to sit and watch Penobscot Bay. Small entrance fee.
