My wife and I escaped to the Samoset for 3 days vacation. Had never been here...but have stayed at similar high end resorts nationwide. The Samoset did not disappoint. The location overlooking Penobscot Bay is terrific. Water views everywhere. My fiancee and I spent two nights here last September, during our months tour of New England. The small reception area is welcoming with a little gift shop and friendly, helpful reception staff. We spent a week at Samoset and have to say it was just beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and the food they offered in there restaurants, delicious. Loved the omelet with lobster.
