I took the Photography Cruise and it was the most awesome experience. The crew is wonderful, the food is some of the best I've ever had, and you just can't beat the scenery. Since you spend a week on a boat, you really have to be a boat person to enjoy this trip, but there is nothing like sailing up... more

Sailing on the Schooner J. & E. Riggin is an experience like none other. You are on a magnificent historic ship that sails along the Maine coast, and taken back in time to a simpler life. You are awed by the exquisite scenes of the Maine coast, sunrises and sunsets, cozy fishing villages, romantic evenings lit by kerosene lanterns under... more

It was not what I expected- but it was great. Having never taken a schooner cruise, I visualized lazing on the deck with a book while getting a tan. I wondered why they would list "thermal underwear" and "jackets" on the packing list? It was June, for crying out loud! In Georgia, it's difficult to imagine that somewhere in this... more

My husband and I have been sailing on the Schooner J & E Riggin for several years - no two trips are alike, and all are wonderful. The Riggin was built as an oyster dredger in 1927 and plied the waters of Delaware Bay for several years. After a long and varied career, the schooner was saved from destruction in... more
