We have been doing the "moose run" from Grant's Camps for about 15 years. Started when our sons were young kids and we try to get there once a summer. Maine's oldest diner. the original diner that was towed from mass to Maine during the time of Lindbergh 's flight. Food was very good as was service. Nice choices on menu and very friendly servers.

A very easy river to navigate, particularly for children/first timers. Visit Rivers Edge Sports in Oquossoc for rentals and a ride to the river. All the folks at Rivers Edge were helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
