If, like me, you love skiing and have been lucky enough to ski at various North American mountains, you've probably noticed that many ski areas are starting resemble each other. The runs and verticals change but the experience of the lift lines, the base lodge, the commercialism, the prices are very similar. Saddleback breaks the mold. Every ski area's most... more

Saddleback Ski Area Rocks. This mountain has the quickest lift lines, the hardest expert trails and the cheapest tickets for a big mountain in New England. Get there before they close on April 20th. more

There are many ski resorts to choose from in the Northeast. In Maine, there's Sugarloaf and Sunday River but the one that is not on everyone's radar YET is Saddleback. It was colder than we're used to in Tennessee, but it was great! We really enjoyed the... more

Let's see.... On powder days - freshies all day (even if you don't know the mtn)....Non powder days - chordoroy till 2:00. Ski all season and never wait in line - ever. Walk in to the beautiful lodge at noon on a Saturday or Sunday and find plenty of tables - and no one knocks you over to get to... more

Being from midcoast Maine, I can pretty much take my pick as far as Maine ski resorts go. I have been to all of the major ones and a handful of the smaller ones. Saddleback is the best in my opinion. First of all there is the price. $39 for an adult all day weekend lift ticket. The 2 other... more
