My husband and I took the Portland Discovery Sunset Cruise this evening. It was totally worth it and quite enjoyable. The ship captain and the tour guide were both quite knowledgeable and entertaining. The harbor has so much history and the sunset was so beautiful it took your breath away!

We bought the sunset harbour cruise and the land tour during the day (buy both and save a few bucks.) The guy at the desk was super nice, so I felt reassured about our choice.... The trolley was brand new ( nice to see), makes them seem more credible.... but the guide was super boring and would not shut UP....... More

We decided to join this tour last second, and were the last to get on the boat before they departed. Meaning, we didn't get a seat up top, but that was about the only disadvantage. Being on the main floor, we could easily flip back and forth between the sides of the boat when they talked about the different features.... More

We visited Portland in end of june and the weather was quite hot. We were not sure what the city would look like but we found the city very attractive and friendly. The city is full of bridges and may be called "BRIDGE CITY"! Most of the attractions were outside the city, some like Fort Vancouver are in the state... More

This tour was actually not even on our agenda when we decided to visit Portland. Initially we'd decided on the Duck Tour instead but when that got cancelled at the last second we went looking for another tour. As we were waiting on another tour on Long Wharf we noticed the Discovery Tour trolley and immediately decided we'd give it... More

The 1 3/4 hour trolley tour was very informative and particularly enjoyable because of our very humorous guide, JJ. It was not a particularly pretty day when we took this tour but I am so glad that we decided to do so. We learned a lot of the history of Portland, as well seeing the attractions, and it was a... My wife and I were visiting Portland for the day. We decided that a trolley tour would be a quick, efficient way to see the major sites. We selected the tour that included a stop at the local lighthouse (Portland Head Light, Maine's oldest lighthouse). Our driver and energetic tour guide, JJ, kept up a lively banter throughout the 1.75-hour... More

We took the harbor tour one day and the trolley tour the next. The were both excellent. The tour guides were well informed and entertaining. These tours were among the most professional and interesting tours we have ever taken.

We were booked for the Sunset Lighthouse cruise, and had purchased tickets long in advance. Because of a forecast of heavy rains, the harbor cruise was cancelled. I did not give them a cell phone number for them to notify me. The weather cleared, so we figured the tour was still on - we went to Long Wharf for the... More

Hi Beachboywantabe, We never want someone who has already booked tickets to show up to just a sign saying it's been cancelled, so it only seems right to break the news in person if we can't reach someone. Thanks for your kind words though! We hate to cancel the cruises, but sometimes we just can't tell what the weather is... More
