This tour was fabulous! We initially signed up for this tour to see a few blocks of the city and hopefully learn a little history, but our guide, Gordon, started way back in the 1600's and knew interesting details about almost every street, alley, and building, who lived or visited there, how they died, and what is going on in... I wasn't sure what to expect on this ghost tour of Portland, but as soon as I met Gordon the tour guide, I knew it was going to be a blast. I think I learned more about the history of Portland on this tour than I did at the history museum! I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland who... More

Gordon is a great story teller and is very entertaining. I really liked how he personalized the tour by sharing stories about the hotels that members of the group were staying at. I would highly recommend this tour when in Portland. It's a fun way to see different parts of the city and learn some of the history.

My mum and I had a wonderful time on the tour! Our tour guide was Gordon and he was awesome! He was the first tour guide that we have ever had that remembered our names, had everyone participate, and made the tour enjoyable and fun. He also made the stories very interesting. The tour seemed like it went by in... More

This tour was lots of fun! Gordon was our guide and after personally greeting each participant, he immediately remembered our names and situations well enough to incorporate them into his stories. This made the tour feel very sincere and original. The storytelling was theatrical and brought history to "life" at each creepy ghost location. It rained that night, and Gordon... More

The Wicket Walking Tour of Portland, Maine was awesome. Our tour guide Gordon was very knowledgable, personable and a lot of fun. He also took the time to remember everyone's name and engage us in the tour. I would highly recommend it.

I participated in this tour on a Saturday in October along with my family. We were fortunate enough to have Gordon as our tour guide. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I saw how many people were in our tour group. My worries were quickly set aside when I saw how wonderful and efficient Gordon... More

Great fun and very informative. Gordon clearly knows his subject upside down and inside out, and made the tour funny, spooky and informative. He was welcoming and interested, and has a phenomenal memory for names. Portland has an interesting bank of ghost lore and macabre stories, and we can definitely recommend the ghost walk as a way of learning a... More

Very fun walking tour of Portland, ME. Gordon was an excellent tour guide - engaging, knowledgable, and entertaining. The night we went was a cool, misty, October night - perfect conditions for a ghost tour. Minimal walking, but wear comfy shoes as you'll be traversing some cobblestone streets. And if you need a little liquid courage before going ghost hunting,... More
