Though we have visited Portland many times, Randy, our guide, introduced us to several new places, with enthusiastic narration and delicious tidbits of wonderful Maine food: lobster canapés, anise and cinnamon dips for pineapple, rich cocoa, mini whoopie pies, Gritty's beer, awesome smoked trout samples, Sam's homemade ice cream, delicious potato blueberry doughnuts ( yes! Really good) and so forth!... More

My wife and I embarked on our foodie tour on a late fall Saturday in November. The wind was up, but the food was tasty, enlightening, and unique. Chuck was our guide, and we thought he did a great job. We stopped at around eight venues where we sampled cheeses, fresh lobster, unusual spices, a whoopee pie, beer, mead, chocolate,... More

This is an awesome way to experience Portland. Besides the tour itself, Chuck our tour guide had a plethora of recommendations. I cannot wait to take friends

This was my boyfriend's and my first trip to Portland, and though we walked around the city the night before, it was wonderful to explore food markets and restaurants and sample what they have to offer with an enthusiastic expert, our tour guide, Randy. His love for the city and its food was apparent from the start, and we enjoyed... More

We had never been on a Culinary Walking Tour before, making this an especially fun and delicious experience. Maine Foodie was an excellent choice for our adventure. They showed us friendly and varied establishments. I'd recommend this for anyone but be hungry!

A charming lady met our group in a local off licence and proceeded to walk us through the streets of Portland. We stopped at several very up market shops to taste some delightful foods, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable at every venue. I can thoroughly recommend this tour as an introduction to New England, by a well organised company.

We recently tried the newest tour on their menu - the Sips, Smugglers, and Speakeasies tour, which is like a really classy pub crawl! We had a blast with our guide, Chuck, who gave us lots of info about the history of the pub in Portland. He was fun and knowledgeable, and we sure enjoyed spending time with him. We... More

Enjoyed our time at this tour and discovery some of Maine's food. My fovarite was the root beer at one of the stops. The tour was educational and fun. The walk was pleasentand the weather was perfect, I would reccommend this tour to anyone visiting for the first time.

A group of friends and I experienced the Culinary Walking Tour this past weekend, and couldn't be happier with it. Over the years, we've all spend lots of time visting Portland, but never got a full undertanding of what a great "foodie" city it is! Our tour guide Pat was amazing, and provided us with so much insight on the... More

We’ve been on several different Maine Foodie Tours and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I was thrilled to discover one of their new tours for this year (Sips, Smugglers and Speakeasies) was a pub crawl. It was even more fun than I had hoped! We visited 4 establishments, each with a different atmosphere and a different specialty drink. Offerings may vary,... More
