Didn't get to see the Whales. This is a hit or miss thing. Don't get fooled that you are getting on the boat to see the whale. You "MAY" see the whale if u are lucky. But if u want to enjoy a nice ocean ride, going to middle of the ocean and experiencing whats it like to be in... More

Interesting tour we had a good time and saw a few different whales and other animals as well. The whales were not as exciting as I thought they would be as they don't jump out of the water. I though the best part was seeing the coast - the islands, the old forts, and many light houses. The ocean was... More

We were told to dress warm, and use Dramamine to prevent chills and "sea sickness", but we didn't need extra jackets or meds. The ride takes you waaayyyyy beyond the confines of shelter and into the open sea. Lighthouses dot all along both sides of the water heading out and even in the middle where small "islands" emerge from the... More

Disappointed that we did not see any whales, or any sea life at all. I know that they cannot guarantee that we will see whales. Not the best of days, as it was pretty cool and misting most of the trip. Captain did explain some of the sights we saw. I got some good photos of lighthouses and other scenery.... More

This turned out to be a beautiful day and a great boat ride. That wouldn't have changed even if we didn't see whales and giant floating sunfish (one of which breached for us). This trip is a surprisingly wonderful tour of the harbor and an even different view of Portland Head Lighthouse. The crew was great and persistent in finding... More

We had a perfect day, early September, with clear skies and calm seas, but what made the outing so wonderful was the enthusiasm and knowledge of the crew. We saw porpoises, seals, Minke whales, seabirds, a tuna, a finback whale and, to finish off the day, a pod of dolphins who played in our wake on our return trip. The... More

The boat trip out to sea alone was worth it! We passed lighthouses and the beautiful Maine coast. The captain told us about the sights we saw, which was very nice. Once at sea we saw a lot of seals and a few dolphins. At one point there was a sunfish swimming around. We got real close to the fish,... More

We went whale watching with Odyssey, and I think we'll all remember the experience for a long time. First of all, the scenery is lovely, even before you see the whales. Our guide (I forget her name) was passionate, interesting and very informative about a variety of marine subjects. Then there was the whale, which was enormous. We saw a... More

Our cruise was approximately 4 hours with interesting landmarks on our way out and back in from the whale feeding grounds. We were able to take in some great sights which added nicely to this trip. We saw a few whales, but they were being elusive and changing directions, making it hard to track them effectively. Good size boat, with... More

The trip was fantastic. We saw a total of 6 minke whales, one of which came within feet of us and circled the boat several times. it was really special, it seemed so curious. We got a great up close view of a blue shark who was hanging out close to the surface. He was probably about three feet long.... More
