We went out on the odyssey on July 22, 2015... We had a wonderful experience on the Odyssey. The weather was absolutely perfect as the skies were clear and it was 80 plus degrees!! We saw several Minke whales. One of these whales swam under our boat a couple times and seemed to be putting on a show. We saw... More

We were not as satisfied as we thought we would have been. We expected to see more whale activity than what we did. The crew on the boat was incredibly friendly, but sadly that was just not enough for us to make a return visit. We were able to see a few sea sun fish, a slight sighting of a... More

Terrible Bad Experience. No whales seen only boat not to see whales today. Crew was more busy selling alcohol drinks to some ladies on board rather than finding whales. They even invited them to come to he captain's cabin and wheel the boat. Refused refund they just offered another tour within one year knowing that most of the people were... More

Unlike the place we tried on our prior visit to Maine, this company was up and running. They were very nice about reserving a spot for us and telling us how to use the metro to get there. Unfortunately, earlier that week the weather for Wednesday had been predicted to be the best day of the week. When the day... More

We were very lucky and saw two types of whales, porpoise and harbor seals. However, we approached the trip as a scenic ocean boat ride and didn't expect to see any sea life. The first hour or so is a narrated trip of Portland harbor and we saw multiple light houses along the coast. We then had a blast spotting... More

This was the first tour we did while in Portland and we enjoyed it very much. We got to see some Minke Whales and a really cool prehistoric looking sunfish. One of the whales even came very close to the boat so we were able to get some great shots. The crew was extremely friendly and made everyone feel welcome.... More

While the boat was nice, this tour was a complete flop. I realizd there was no guarantee to see whales, but it appeared to me the crew did not even make an attempt to find whales. My husband and I went on a whale watch out of Boston several years ago, and the boat looked for whales. You could tell... More

Recently took a tour with my family while in Portland, Maine. The tour was a four hour whale watch tour. Upon booking the lady was very informative and recommended jackets which even in June were very helpful due to the wind. The tour guides were very informative as well but we did not see any whales until we were almost... More

This is a 4 hour boat ride, 20 miles off shore in hopes of see finback whales, the second largest whale, see historic lighthouses and forts along the shoreline. The crew did an awesome job locating the water spouts from the whales and getting as close as possible for you to see the enormous whales! We had a beautiful day... More

The crew was very helpful, nice, and attentive. I get a little sea sick and they were around with suggestions and helpful ideas. The boat was nice and very clean. Two bathrooms in the back. Only regret was our choice in seating. We chose to sit on the bottom on the outside railing and we were constantly having to move... More
