While the boat was nice, this tour was a complete flop. I realizd there was no guarantee to see whales, but it appeared to me the crew did not even make an attempt to find whales. My husband and I went on a whale watch out of Boston several years ago, and the boat looked for whales. You could tell... More

Recently took a tour with my family while in Portland, Maine. The tour was a four hour whale watch tour. Upon booking the lady was very informative and recommended jackets which even in June were very helpful due to the wind. The tour guides were very informative as well but we did not see any whales until we were almost... More

This is a 4 hour boat ride, 20 miles off shore in hopes of see finback whales, the second largest whale, see historic lighthouses and forts along the shoreline. The crew did an awesome job locating the water spouts from the whales and getting as close as possible for you to see the enormous whales! We had a beautiful day... More

The crew was very helpful, nice, and attentive. I get a little sea sick and they were around with suggestions and helpful ideas. The boat was nice and very clean. Two bathrooms in the back. Only regret was our choice in seating. We chose to sit on the bottom on the outside railing and we were constantly having to move... More

Here are the positives: Friendly and informative staff, beautiful scenery, clean boat with food/drink options, convenient location for pick up and drop off, and the great hope of finding some whales on this adventure. Negatives: We didn't actually see any whales or other sea life during our 4 hour trip and the boat ride out to the ocean was really... More

We decided to do this whale watching with little expectations of actually seeing anything but just to enjoy the ride and a view of the Portland coast. Happy our expectations were exceeded to overload with whales, sharks, porpoise, and a seal. The crew was wonderful answering questions and keeping you intrigued by the animals you were watching. The reservation people... More

This company renewed my faith in human nature. With thousands of dollars I'm sure to loss, this company choose not to take tours out because the swells were to rough and the safety of it's guest came first. For that reason I just had to go out. I stayed and extra day and boy was it worth it. OMG.... just... More

The crew were determined and went into overtime to deliver. Spent most of the trip speeding along with ocean spray in our face. My wife, 2 girls and were seated right in front so not to miss a one wave washing over the bow. Then the crew spotted some Minke whales in the distance. They were persistent in their pursuit... we were fortunate enough to see a few whales when we were out. The staff is excellent! Have realistic expectations going into the trip. I figured worse case was I was paying for a 4 hour boat ride, which would've been worth it to me. They can't magically make the whales surface and put on a show. Nonetheless they will... More

Unfortunately, during our trip we were not able to see any whales. Regardless the trip was still well worth it and something I would do again! The boat is nice and comfortable with plenty of places to sit. The crew was very friendly, very informative and we learned a lot not only about Whales but other marine life. Since we... More
