Allagash White is my favorite beer, so I had to visit the brewery while in Portland. We signed up for the 11:00 AM tour on April 24. The brewery is in the middle of expanding the public areas, so there was some construction going on - it looked like it will be really nice when it's done, and the work... More

My wife and I stopped in on 4/15 for the 11am tour. There were just 4 other folks on the tour, two of which were more interested in taking pictures than actually paying attention though. Their loss I guess. Anyway, the tasting was White, Curieux (bourbon), FV13 and Odyssey. All beers were excellent! After the tasting, we got to tour... More

Recently visited with my beer loving husband. We enjoyed the tour and the guide was very informed and well spoken for the brewery. I am not a beer drinker, but I enjoyed trying the four tastes before the tour. It amazes me how some humans go on these tours and just really want to taste the beer and do not even... More

Allagash Brewery is a delightful place to visit. They give informative tours about the brewery and brewing beer. My favorite part of the whole experience is the beer tasting (prior to the tour). My favorite beer of all times is Curieux. You have to visit Allagash and taste their Belgium inspired beers! Yum!!

We booked with Alla Tours, as they clarified that we did not need to apply for a visa for our 2 day tour while on a cruise. We booked with them because Alla responded almost immediately to our queries, was most helpful, and her tours were a great success!

This was a fun thing to do on a snowy Saturday. First you get to sample some beer then you get a tour of the plant with some explanations about how beer is made. You must get free ticket ahead of time

If you're looking for an authentic brew tour in Portland..this is a good one. While Allagash is getting HUGE across the country...you don't feel that way on the tour. You feel like you're hanging out in Portland with friends. One of the things I love about this tour is that you drink BEFORE the tour..not after. 4 free samples then... More

You usually make reservations in advance, but there were a couple of walk ins today. A small brewery that is growing. The cement trucks were there today. We tasted five of their Belgian style beers. Great explanations of each, and why it tasted like it did. Great explanation of why Belgian is different than British or German. Knowledgeable staff helped... More

These folks are producing beers that are great on their own but also compliment a wide array of foods. Their subtle but distinct flavors are a result of master brewers and various oak cask selections. A tour of their operation reveals their brewing secrets but do not try to duplicate, it's the people that make Allagash the best new brew... More
