If you're into Belgian ales and cask conditioned ales, then this is your place to visit! Allagash is always a stop on our visit when we are back in my hometown. The tour is free, takes about 30 minutes and includes some samples of what's currently on tap. Friendly folks, great beer, who could ask for more?

Stopped in on our annual Maine trip. Tasting room only this time (did the tour of the old facility and then again last year after the expansion. By the looks of the construction, we'll have to take another tour again next year.) Staff is always pleasant. Had to get some new stuff in the store. My one wish - guys,... More

Having been a fan of Allagash white for many years, it was great to visit the brewery when vacationing in Maine. This is home-spun goodness and the tour, although short, was informative. The complimentary beer tasting was awesome. We sampled Tripel, Curieux, James Bean, Black and Bourbon barrel black. My taste buds were awakened! Thank you Allagash crew and please,... More

Being from California, Allagash beers are not easily found. There is distribution out here (which we also learned about on the tour), but it's not like every place has it on tap. So while we were in "allagash country" we decided to take the tour. And it did not disappoint! The tour was free and lasted a quick 20-30 minutes.... More

Me and my Chubby Bunny went to wet our whistle and try some of Portland's local brews. The free tours include a tasting of four 3-ounce samples, so you'll most likely spend your money here on a t-shirt you'll wear a couple times that will eventually find it's way to Goodwill. Tour wasn't too long, at most 30 minutes. Not... More

I really like a lot of their beers, so when I had the opportunity to visit the brewery I was very excited. So disappointing. 4 beers on tap, but nothing I couldn't get almost anywhere else. At least the tasting was free. The tasting room was packed with merchandise - selling the brand seemed to be the most important thing... More

Tour is just the right amount of time, around 20 minutes. We were given headsets so we could hear the information provided by the knowledge and friendly guide. A very good idea for the headsets, wish more attractions would use them for their tours. We were given information about the grains used and the mashing of the different craft brews.... More

Allagash is one of my favorite breweries, so I jumped at the chance to be able to visit. I wasn't disappointed - great tour with super knowledgeable and friendly staff, cozy little tasting room, and was able to snag some sweet limited stuff while we were there. If you're a fan of Belgians, or just really great locally proud craft... More

We stopped here on our way to Bar Harbor, ME. It wasn't very crowded and we were served samples by friendly staff. Very cool design of the bar and interior. Great bear selection and opportunity to try some different varieties.

What more could one ask for from one of the top Craft Brewers in the country. The 4 beers we tasted we each unique and near the top of beers in their individual style. The young folks who work the bar and gift shop were friendly, welcoming and quite knowledgeable. Although you have to drive through a few of the... More
