Most of the museum is geared to children aged one to 11, but young teens will like the computer lab and the camera exhibits. There's also a play area just for toddlers. « less

We went here this Tuesday. Admission was $9 which is pretty decent compared to a lot of other attractions in the New England area. The kids ran around and had fun which is the whole idea of a place like this. It's a great place to take younger kids for a few hours but I think kids older than eight may... More

We were visiting the area and found this children's museum. It was in a cute historic building downtown. It had a lot of fun interactive areas for little ones. My son is 19 months old and loved running around to the play grocery store, auto shop, and barn. He also loved the water play area. Even the adults had fun... More

We have a four year old and a one year old, and they both enjoyed themselves. We could not get our four year old out of the fire engine. He still talks about it. Also, Great areas for the toddler. The museum does need outlet covers in the toddler room.

A great children's museum for its size. Everything is interactive. We went every day for a week while visiting. (The membership is worth it if you are staying in town for a few days as you can stop in for an hour if it gets cold or rainy.) The mechanic workshop and fire truck are a huge hit and are... More

First I'd like to say that everyone was really nice and helpful, it made the stop here even that more enjoyable. The kids loved the ball room, water play area, logging area, and fire engine along with the many other exhibits. We will definitely be returning, just need to allot a little more time for the ball area. We literally... More

Brought our kids (7 & 2.5) an they loved it. It was a bit crowded but its expected as its the summer and the tourists are here in droves. There was a wait on some of the exhibits, but it wasn't terribly long. We had to drag the kids out because they didn't want to leave. Will definitely come back.

We might have had more fun than our little one, although she begged to stay longer than the two hours we had! Really fun, and interactive in all the right ways. We would absolutely come back again.

The day we went to the museum was crowded. Lots of families. Overpriced for the number of activities available for children. Bathrooms were smelly. Looks like the museum is in need of a renovation.

Even though some of the reviews made me hesitant, we gave the place a shot. Other than the place being flooded with little kids, it was an amazing place. Almost all of the exhibits were in working condition and very unique. My kids could not stop talking about it when they woke from their nap after. It was very clean... More

I brought my 2 1/2 year old here while we were passing through Portland to give him a chance to play a bit. I would say this place is probably best aged for a range from him to say 5 or 6 years old. The museum is smaller than some of the other children's museums I have been too however... More
