Description: Whether climbing a mountain, entering a bear's den, role-playing...
Whether climbing a mountain, entering a bear's den, role-playing crewmembers on a 40-foot schooner or manning a space shuttle, children will have a blast at this highly interactive museum. Most of the museum is geared to children aged one to 11, but young teens will like the computer lab and the camera exhibits. There's also a play area just for toddlers.

We stop in on a rainy Sunday, the museum was pretty busy but i never felt that my daughter was unable to participate or play, she is only 13 months so i was a little worried that the older kids would over power her, and i didn't experience that at all. Would visit again.

We went on a Saturday with eight of us, half adults and half kids. There was a great show when's we walked in, lots of play stuff for all ages, and a camera obscura which was not to be missed. This museum no longer has reciprocity with some places; we used a AAA to get a discount.

A nice little children's museum. Had a lot of options ( with a lot of pretend play and even some good climbing options) Not quite as much science as some other children's museums so I would say overall it skews a little younger but my 6 year old still had fun. The stage and shows are a great addition not... More

Great place to go for kids to play, learn and just have fun. Has a nice safe area for toddlers, lots of other great exhibits for other kids. Love the see-through bee hive!! Great opportunities to learn AND have fun with the kids. If you live close by, do yourself a favor and get a membership. You will NOT regret... More

This was such a neat place! We went with our 2 & 4 yr olds and they both had a blast! There was so much to do and at least every hour there was something special going on. We would love to come back when we visit Portland again!

When I walked in I thought my kids (8 and 5) would be too old for the attractions but we had to drag the kids out when they closed.

The place is great for little ones to play and explore. It's 3 floors with an outdoor area. Because my granddaughter is only 33 months we spent most of our time on the first floor which had a lot of activities for a child her age. There are 2 slides, ball pit, large foam blocks, a lot of things to... More

Three floors of attractions specially designed for the little ones, this place truly deserves its name of children's museum. Absolutely worth the visit if you travel with small kids.

My kids, ages 5 and 7, had a blast here. There are four floors of exhibits and they have different programs running every half hour which they announce over the loudspeaker. There's also an outdoor play area and lots of places for parents to sit all over the museum. There's a cafe area where you can sit to eat lunch... More

We decided to stop in on an overcast day and take a break from the beach. Costs $10.00 a head and parking was at an hourly paid lot near by. I would also say that much older then 7 or 8 would find this not as exciting. With that said, our 6 and 4 year old loved it. We had... More
