The Monhegan Boat Line provides Ferry service to and from Monhegan Island, a must see destination if visiting the mid coast of Maine. The ferry takes about an hour to make the trip. Reservations are recommended and we were glad we made them. The ferry was full for our 10:30 AM crossing. The staff was very pleasant, the ride very... More

Extremely disappointed in the Lighthouse Tour yesterday, 08/19/15. It was so foggy you literally could not see the lighthouses. They cancelled our viewing of Two Bush Light because it was so foggy. The captain made a comment as we were leaving the port as to how foggy it was and that if he cancelled the trip now, he would disappoint... More

Even if you never knew puffins existed, this is the cruise to take when in Port Clyde Maine. You will learn about puffins and EC, Andrew and Jamie Wyeth, Forrest Gump, the history of Indians in Maine and all about lobsters. What more could you ask for. Except for eating lobster it was the best 2 1/2 hours we spent... More

We picked the perfect day to drive to Port Clyde, ME and venture out on the Laura B. The cruise we picked was the Puffin/Nature Cruise, departing at 11:30, giving us 2 1/2 hrs. of fabulous sea time. Jeff, our Captain, Mark, deck hand and Pete our historian/naturalist spinner of tales, all took such good care of us. There were... More

Aboard the Lara B, we had a terrific 2 1/2hour cruise of the Gulf of Maine seeing 4 lighthouses. The young man giving us the information and history of the area was outstanding. If it is cloudy, it will be colder than you might imagine so bring a jacket. There is both outside and inside seating.

Visited 8-4-15. Took the Elizabeth Ann to and from Monhegan Island. Overcast and 6 foot swells in the 9:30am voyage out, sunny at Monhegan and delightful return at 4:30pm

We took the nature cruise to Egg Rock and the surrounding area. We were lucky that the eagles, ospreys, cormorants, Harbor seals and puffins all cooperated! The guide knew a lot but bored many of us with details about houses and people we knew nothing about. It was still a worthwhile cruise, however and we're glad we went. I strongly... More

We took the 10:30 boat with 4:30 return to Monhegan island. The seascape was impressive, and the ride was quite calm and enjoyable in this Summer season. On the return the captain took the boat around the island so we could appreciate the entirely of the small island as well as see the old shipwreck and seals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Very reasonably priced - our narrator was terrific as he passed along loads of local knowledge & history of the area. And it didn't stop there - he's a naturalist as well and was quick to draw attention to features that you could readily miss. Besides the Puffins there's much more to see - including... More
