We took the Sunset Puffin cruise last night and LOVED it. The Captain of the Laura B, Taylor Hall was very professional and a great Captain. The narrator, Phillip Reinhardt was extremely knowledgeable of the cruise area and of the wildlife we saw. We saw lots of puffins, which was very exciting. The Monhegan Boatline offers wine, beers, snacks and... More

We took the boat out to the island and the captain kept pointing things out and giving us information along the way out and back. On the way back he slowed down and went closer to the rocks so we could see the seals. Very nice! He pointed out a line Puffin at one point as well! A must do!

We went on the Laura B for the 2-2 1/2 hour sunset / nature cruise. We made reservations in advance and paid and picked up our tickets a half hour before the scheduled depart time. The crew were great! They were friendly, comical and very informative. They pulled in some lobster traps, explained all about lobsters and licensing and legal... More

We took the boat from Port Clyde, although there are options from around Booth Bay and Round Pond. It was "smooth sailing" albeit motor powered. The boat was relatively full on both outbound and return, but we were comfortable. Usually by the time one figures out the perfect seats for a view, they are already taken but there are really... on time, nice boat, bathroom facilities. Got us there and back in an efficient and lovely way. We made reservations and bought a $5 ticket for parking. It was an effortless experience.

Yesterday we went on the Laura B. on the 2-1/2-hour lighthouse cruise at 11:30 a.m. Bob, the narrator, told us much history throughout the entire cruise. He was the best narrator on any sightseeing cruise I've taken anywhere. The crew were very helpful in helping people who needed it get onboard. We went past four lighthouses and when we paused... We booked a trip for our family (children ages 6, 9 and 10) to go on a puffin watch. The trip would have been lovely (even though we didn't see any puffins which didn't bother any of us in the least) had the boat not been too crowded. We made reservations in advance and arrived in plenty of time to... More

A wonderful ferry ride on a foggy summer day ending up on beautiful and unique Monhegan Island. A magical place with all sorts of things to see - scenic landscape, enchanted forest, great little sandwich shop and artists galore. A fun day for our whole family!

We took the Laura B to Monhegan, and the bigger ferry back. Both were fun in their own way, but I think I preferred the Laura B, which is tiny and feels more exciting on the water. When you book your tickets they tell you to arrive 30 minutes early. Due to a mixup, we arrived a few minutes LATE,... More

Been traveling with this boat line from the first time I came to Maine. The crew is so efficient and are very quick at loading - and some days the boats are packed with luggage and cargo. They are always so careful with my paintings and I'm sure other art works and for this I really appreciate them !
