This was the most beautiful beach we visited in Maine! It helped that it was 90 degrees when we went, so that the water was welcoming and refreshing instead of bracing and paralyzing. The beach is clean and sandy, and the waves are strong but not scary - just fun. The facilities are clean and well kept - fresh water... More

A clean beach with plenty of parking, bathroom facilities, and great views. Arrive in the morning at low tide and walk out to the island just off shore.

The is a really great beach, the reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that it could be very expensive for a large family not realizing that they do charge even if you do not park inside. It is a little bit of a hike to get to the ocean but when you do it will be so... More

First time going, it is a long walk down to the beach through the sand but lots of space to set up. When the tide is low you can walk to a big rock and explore and there is an inlet area that is warmer and a fun place for small kids to play without big waves. Great afternoon!

Great clean park with very clean, nice beach. There is a fee to get in, and it does get packed, so arrive early. Stay all day, though!

I love this beach, its very pretty and at low tide you can walk out onto the island. The seagulls here, however, are ruthless. I was attacked by one, while eating a sandwich. BEWARE. Be prepared to walk..the length of the beach from the entrance to the ocean is a hefty walk.

I've been here nearly every summer for the past few years and always look forward to the next trip back! Highly recommend you check the tide charts before going. The beach is huge when the tide out, and at low tide you can also walk out to an island! Climb up to the top for a great view, but wear... More
