Very fun way to get t-shirts and old orchard beach memorabilia. Even just the pier fries alone. Parking is decent. However I strongly caution families and couples wanting a relaxing evening stroll or casual shopping. Especially during the summer months. It gets extremely busy as commuters overflow the sidewalks onto the streets. This would be fine if it were a... More

When we stay at Old Orchard we walk down to the pier area every night that it is not raining. There is plenty to see. You can shop and eat. There are bars and music for adults and just a good time. We went down one night without the kids in tow and had a couple of drinks and listened... More

Sit on the beach adjacent to the pier, soak up the sun, take a swim in the ocean and listen to music played on the pier and nearby restaurants. Walk the pier and shop for souvenirs, have lunch/dinner at one of the many restaurants or enjoy a cold drink.

We come here at least 3 times a year. Summertime isn't the same without spending the day at OOB. If you're going on the weekend, prepare for the crowds and parking is tricky to find ( $20 for the day). Get there early set up your spot and enjoy the day. Fair type food, fresh seafood, games and rides, several... More

If one is walking the beach or Ocean Avenue then by all means stop in. Or just plan a walk around town with this included. And just like the surrounding area, not in winter. The image is the beautiful beach under the Pier.

The beach here is very nice to walk on (we went after the summer season ended). The area seems likes it is probably hopping during in-season. It was fun to spend a few days here and I would go again but would stay at a different hotel (that's another story).

Was very off season when we visited, end of October . Just switched to the winter menu but still had fried scallops on the menu, they were very good and plenty of them. My friend had seafood chowder and a lobster roll both he claimed were excellent . Service was good( ask for Casey) a band was setting up to... More

Interesting. Food was inexpensive but not very good. Loved the area and the ocean however. Would go back again.

The Old Orchard Beach Pier is a great place to photograph. I didn't go onto the pier but I think photographers should know about this location.
