The night we were there , there was a ton of seaweed washing up. I think we timed it wrong because there were lots of people swimming during the day and they were not looking like sea monsters when coming out of the water. It is a huge beach with a significant change in tide. I could tell by the... More

Popular, tourist spot that is crowded, nice, expensive - all rolled into one! Too crazy for me to stay, but a known destination for people from all over the World. I chose to go down to smaller, more quaint Wells Beach instead, to stay a few nights. ALL of these places charge about $200 a night for a room in... More

This is a well maintained beautiful beach. Be aware it is crowded! For being in Maine the water was not freezing - I actually went all the way in! The lifeguards were right on top of things and it's a great beach for taking a walk.

I love this beach. The sand is soft and it's nice just to walk along the water. Great for finding seashells.

I fell in love with Maine!!!! Beautiful State. We stayed in Kennebunkport. People are very friendly and of course the Lobstah is to die for!!! So sweet and tasty :) This beach is very cool, even though we got there late in the day, still got in the water and sat on the beach! Love It

So much to see and do and if you yearn for more so close to Portland, Freeport or zip over to Sebago Lake for a day!

The Pier and beach are were very touristy. The beach itself was pretty and lots of sand, there is plenty of room. The actual Pier is kitschy gift shops and food stands with a restaurant at the end. The amusement park on the beach is not more than a town carnival and is VERY overpriced
