First tried Bread and Roses during a Summer trip to Ogunquit. My girlfriend and I fell in love quickly. It's a nice little shop with outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to snag a table during "coffee rush hour." The raspberry cream cheese filled croissants are fantastic. The coffee isn't too bad. Definitely our "go to" whenever we visit the... More

Stopped in here on a whim during our Maine getaway and was not disappointed. I had the quiche of the day - absolutely delicious and filling. Husband had a grilled black bean burrito which was quite good. We shared the butternut squash soup - spicy and so yummy! We ate in the alleyway as the weather was beautiful that day.... More

One of my favorite ways to start the day during our Ogunquit vacations is going to Bread & Roses, grabbing coffee and trying to decide which amazing thing to have for breakfast...the quiche, the croissants, the oatmeal bars, the scones...too many choices and each one better than the next!

I could not wait to try this place. I am a bakery fanatic and this stuff wasn't what it seemed. It looked really delicious, but not so. The prices are outrageous for the quality..no taste, just appearance. The whoopie pies are disappointing.. Terrible, sweet filling, no chocolate cake taste, sorta stale. We purchased some other treats, 3 different ones.. The... More

We like to go to Bread and Roses later at night when there aren't as many people waiting. They are open late in the summers. We like to walk down from Perkins cove for a dessert and coffee. We had three different baked goods and all were excellent. The coffee was delicious as always. We skipped dessert at dinner and... More

This place is our night time indulgence. After our dinner and a late night stroll down Main Street, its always exciting to have a cup of joe and be of their desserts. This time i was a chocolate oatie and it was decadent. I savor end every bite. Definitely a must for anyone with a sweet tooth or just getting... More

Their baked goods aren't great -- I threw half of two different desserts out because I couldn't be bothered to eat them -- and they've been getting slowly worse. Their sandwiches are likewise poor. Their coffee is wonderful, however, and their iced coffee drinks are also very good. But head down to the Market Basket for your baked goods.

We got a whoopie pie, a cinnamon puff, some kind of almond layer bar, and a molasses cookie, and none of them were as tasty as we hoped. They were all kind of bland and had a weird additive flavor. I wouldn't go back. Plus, trying to find parking was a nightmare, and the place wasn't adequately air conditioned.

I have been going back and forth to Maine from VA for the last 4 weeks and will continue to for work through August. The cakes are the best. The wedding cake and lemon coconut is very delicious. The carrot cupcakes were some of the moistest carrot cake I have had. I also tried the chocolate peanut butter bar and... More
