During a 5 day stay in Ogunquit, we would get up before sunrise, and walk for miles along the surf during low tide. The beach is spotless - no seawood or washed-up creatures, very few shells - just smooth hard packed sand. Perfect conditions for us oldtimers with sore knees. A nice place for an afternoon picnic as well. Love... More

A nice walk on the beach. Not many in the water this time of the year but still some in wet suits. Kids are back in school so it's fairly quite. The beach all but disappears at high tide.

Haven't spent spent any time one the beach, but it is beautiful, and popular. The last time we were there the tide was high so there wasn't a lot of beach.

We love the beach. The sand was clean and soft. It was quite breezy and cool, but it was a treat just to sit and read. The beach has a way of slowing me down. Don't miss an opportunity to give yourself a break.

Ogunquit Beach is a delight. We love the sandbar as it is terrific for the kids to play in the pool that is created by the low tide. Being your family - you'll love it!

Too bad the town and businesses can't get together to do something about the constant traffic in downtown. Paying a police officer for a few hours a day on weekends would do wonders to making Ogunquit and even better place. Also $2 for the cute trolleys is a rip-off. How come they don't offer any weekly passes or the like.... More

Ogunquit Beach is a spectacular strip of sand very close to the other area attractions and to most of the inn's and hotels in Ogunquit. After a little bit of shopping, we grabbed the beach chairs and sat on the beach for about 2 hours enjoying a perfect weather day at Ogunquit. The beach is so huge that you never... More

Nice clean beaches that are warm enough to swim in summer and the differences in high and low tide are amazing, very interesting!

Ogunquit is a pleasant little town but unfortunately is does get extremely busy with visitors. Parking is limited and expensive (as is neighbouring Perkins Cove). Traffic queues are to be expected in summer months. However, once you get passed these obstacles you will have a good time in this nice little town. Plenty of shops to browse although they are... We really enjoyed our time in Ogunquit Maine. It can get quite crowded during August BUT it just has that Maine summer feel to it!
