Easy walk

Lovely level walkways around Asticou Pond through established azaleas. Lots of photo opportunities with Japanese garden art and still water reflections.

Azaleas, rhodo's, and so much more. This garden is so incredibly peaceful, beautiful and filled with wonder - rain or shine.

Not only was this a large garden, it was beautifully laid out and maintained. The Zen garden was combed and lovely. The types of azaleas were impressive. I just wished I could have seen them all in bloom! There was a large pond trimmed with ferns, lilies, and other flowers. Everything was lovingly tended. The garden was created by Charles... More

Beautiful but small gardens that you have to walk to from northeast Harbour if you don't have a car. Give a donation at the gate.

Any limit to rating for this garden derives not from the garden itself or from its maintenance which is excellent but from the proximity of the road which can be a little distracting. It contains great plants including rarities and couldn't help but delight any who enjoy visiting gardens. I highly recommend it.

I have been to a lot of gardens and they don't have to be large to be amazing but this very small gardens area was a bit of a disappointment in early September. There were a few pretty little sections, but almost all of the plants and flowers there were not in bloom and a large section of the garden... More

In all my years visiting MDI, I had never made the stop at Asticou Gardens - what a shame! Such a beautiful, serene and peaceful garden in a corner nook between harbors. Went with our tweens - they loved the water features and rock steps. We missed the Azalea blooms but there were so many beautiful species of plants, bushes,... More

A beautiful place away from the throngs of tourists. Cool, green, mossy, very well manicured Japanese style garden. A nice place to sit and relax, go for a stroll on a warm summer day. No entrance fee, but they do have donation boxes. Well worth a few dollars. Hope to go back when the azaleas and rhododendron are in bloom.

Fabulous paths, lawns and bridges through a plant wonderland that is so captivating, you forget you're on a busy intersection. Newly built restrooms, handicapped accessible, and parking lot.

Fiver year old and 15 month old loved the water features and rocks to walk across a little river. There is also a bathroom. Nice quiet place to stretch legs
