This is best visited in the spring, as we usually do; but there are other plantings and just walking the paths though the varied greenery on a summer day is worth the stop. This is all perfectly designed and maintained. Restful!

My husband and I loved visiting the Asticou Azalea Garden. It is small and took only 30 minutes to walk around. The Azalea's were not in bloom, but many other flowers were and it was beautiful. The gardens are very well maintained and remind us of the Japanese gardens we visited in Japan, including a sand "rock" garden. A lovely... More

I loved the welcoming porch and staff. This great Inn and gardens felt like a lost era of sweet decadence, connected with the gorgeous sea and forested hills of Acadia.

I went on a sunny day with blue skies. The gardens are very pretty, with winding paths and a Japanese feel. I loved them. I hear it is even prettier in the fall. I recommend a short walk through the gardens.

This is a really beautiful garden that is a little difficult to find. It could use a more prominent sign, but maybe that's how it stays uncrowded? I drove right by the entrance and was much more observant after a u-turn got me back in front of the garden. It was just drizzling when I arrived, but it soon became... More

We stumbled upon this on our travels around the peninsula. It was quiet, and amazingly maintained. There was no admission fee, just a donation box.

I was so happy to have found this on tripadvisor before we went out for the day, because it would have been easy to miss the sign. These gardens were so beautiful and peaceful. The area is kept very nice. Well worth the $5 donation.

We visited Asticou Asalea Garden after a long and strenuous Parkman Mountain and Bald Peak hike. It was so nice: the garden is gorgeous in the fall. Not surprisingly, there were no crowds and plenty of parking: we have been there during the government shutdown that gave us an opportunity to hike the mountains we have never hiked before in...
