I have usually been able to spend a week or two up in the Sebago Lake area in Maine every summer and I always enjoy a stop in Naples. I have often treated myself to a sunset cruise on the Songo River Queen. On a beautiful evening it is particularly lovely. Quiet, you are on the water, and you can... More

I have lived in Maine all my life and only about 30 minutes from the Songo River Queen, but had never experienced this attraction. A beautiful day, we decided to play tourist and drive to Naples, the home of the Songo River Queen. This boat sits at the dock at the newly reconstructed causeway where Long Lake meets the shore.... I've been to this area many times but have never taken the River cruise. With my father it was the perfect way to see the lake. They offer both one hour and two hour cruises. The two hour lets you see a lot more. On a hot day it was nicely covered and there was a lovely breeze blowing. The... More

I have been on the SRQ many times but it has been over 15 years since I have done so. It is sad that the boat can no longer travel down to the songs locks since the town of Naples built a new bridge but the ride up and back on Long Lake was still enjoyable fun and peaceful. The... More

This narrated tour of Long Lake was very informative and beautiful. Slowly cruising around the you can see summer camps and the fine homes situated around the lake with My Washington in the back ground. We will do it as again next time we are in the area.

With a hot, humid day in the forecast, I made plans with two friends to take a daytrip to the Naples area. It’s one of our summer rituals. One activity was to take the two-hour cruise on Long Lake at noon on the Songo River Queen II, a 100-ton, 93-foot Mississippi-style stern paddlewheeler. See my 2013 review for detailed info.... Took an impromptu 2hr sunset cruise. Reasonably priced. Full bar and DJ. Nice way to relax out of the heat and take in the views of Long Lake & Mountains.

We attended a live music cruise on the Songo River Queen on a beautiful summer evening. Sunset was absolutely gorgeous. The band was awesome. But..when you have 200 people on a sold out cruise...more than two bartenders are needed! Not a very efficient way of handling the bar at all. One lady taking orders, calling back to the guy mixing... More

Naples is approximately 40 miles from Bethel ME, where we were vacationing, but due to the narrow and winding roads it turned out to be about a 1 hour drive. However, a 1 hour drive to enjoy this pleasant and scenic cruise on Long Lake was well worth the time. For only $25 pp, we took a 2 hour cruise... More
