I love to visit area wineries in my travel and sample the local fare. Even many locals don't know that Maine indeed has wineries. The Cellar Door is in a lovely rural setting with very decent wine. We happened on a complimentary tasting with a variety of freshly made pizzas paired with the appropriate wine. Yummy!

Even though this is the off season for grapes. My husband and I did the VIP tour. Price was amazing and it included a tour of the winery, samples and an amazing cheese plate. The staff made it so much fun. Mackenzie was a great tour guide and we can't wait to come back and bring another couple with us!

My wife I enjoyed all of the wines here. It was very difficult to pick a favorite, but I think the Pinot Noir takes the cake. Our complements to the very talented winemaker. Jill greeted us with a smile and helped us with our samples. She was wonderful and made our family feel very welcome. After just one visit to... More

The wine tasting is free. Treasure -- a blueberry wine with brandy was excellent. Perfect stranger was very light and clean tasting. The barn is beautiful and the winery has wonderful gifts.

A wonderful pit stop on our way North through Maine; it's a little tricky to get to (trust the GPS) but is absolutely worth an hour of your time. The wine is good (particularly for Maine, a place not exactly known for its wine...) and the service is worth a smile. If you can time it for fall, the colors... More

I'm sorry we hadn't visited here sooner. This is a wonderful Maine business. The restored barn is gorgeous with original beams and radiant heating under the lovely wood floors so the interior isn't marred by the sight of radiators. (And it was quite comfortable on a cool Autumn day.) We took a tour led by Jilly who was effervescent and... More

The winery is nicely decorated, with the hardwood and wooden bar. The whole atmosphere inside is very appealing. I didn't notice if there was anywhere to sit and enjoy a glass of wine other than the bar, though. We enjoyed a free tasting of 4 wines each, though none of them were really to my taste. My traveling buddy enjoyed... More

The decor of this winery was very nice. They offer 4 complimentary tastings and explained the choices well. Not very many sweet wines, mostly dry.

We just happened to visit Cellardoor on their last day of the cheese and wine pairings. This was a free tasting. Free always tastes a little better. Anyway, there was a woman from Eat More Cheese (located in Belfast, I think) who did a great job explaining the specifics about each cheese along with a woman from Cellardoor who explained... More
