This is just one of those places you have to go. We went as a family of ages 7 to 85, and it was the 85 year old and his 7 year old clone who wanted to go. I thought, oh great! This'll be fun...eww! While I didn't think I'd enjoy it, the Trolley Museum surprised me. It was actually... More

We were taken here by the friends we were visiting. It is a real find. We had an enjoyable trolley ride into the woods and then went to the various buildings to see the trolleys. It was interesting to see the area where they are restoring the trolleys. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and the gift shop had some interesting... More

This is a gem! I loved climbing through all the trolleys with my family. The kids loved riding the trolleys and so did I! The conductors are so knowledgeable.

Very interesting place. The trolley's go on a lovely ride through the woods. Some trolley's are open air, some enclosed. Most of the trolley's to see are indoors and in various state's of being restored. The volunteer's are experts on the history of the trolley's and make every ride and tour fun for children and interesting for adults. If in... More

We really enjoyed the very reasonably priced trolley ride (about 1/2 hour) on actual train tracks and also the museums grounds.

This is definitely one of the most interesting museums we've been to - an absolute must if you have train or transportation enthusiasts amongst you. Lots of amazing vehicles that you can view and some that you can walk through or ride on. Lots of great photo-ops as well. If you grew up riding public transportation in the Boston area,... More

This place is amazing. I'm a public transit user and so am interested in its history. But also, if you like taking pictures of old abandoned stuff, this is a great place. Obviously the buses, trolleys, and trains on the property are not abandoned, they are there to be restored or just enjoyed as is. The trolley ride is fun... More

You have to want to find this place. We were just driving along some back roads between the Kennebunkport coast and Hiway 1 and BAM! there it was. Unbelievable collection of old trolley, train, buses and carriages - most of them in deteriorated but fascinating condition. They have restored some on site. The inside museum is small but the history... More
