Not a great place for little children, it's a fun Museum for those interested in transportation or the past. One trolley has exquisite and ornate scrollwork, but only runs once a day so call before to make sure you're in time. The trolley's run on a loop (ticket includes rides all day) up to a gazebo, but doesn't stop there.... More

Wonderful collection of historic streetcars, trolleys, buses, and stations. FUN FOR ALL AGES. We arranged in advance for dad to participate in the "Be A Motorman Program". After a brief training in how the streetcar works and how to operate it, one of the museum's wonderful instructors allowed him to run the streetcar on the two-mile rail line. Dad was... More

We spent a nice morning touring the Trolley museum and taking the trolley ride. The conductor(s) were very down to earth and provided some interesting insights into the trolley industry and specifically how it impacted the lower Maine economy. Being from Boston it was great to see a lot of the equipment that I grew up with but has long... More

It's a step back in time. Nothing fancy, just a classic place to visit, roam and remember what trains and trolleys were like when they ruled most cities. Certainly not buffered, but that's the charm. Their stock of cars and trains is enormous, with lot's of inventory that still needs work. Seeing them in different stages is fascinating. This is... More

We have been going here for years; first with my family as a young kid then bringing our own kids then bringing a groups of church kids. This time is was just my parents and my husband and me. We took a nice ride on an open trolley. No time to go through the buildings--which was ok with my mom... More

While staying in Old Orchard Beach with our grandson; we were looking for things to do in the area and came across the Sea Shore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport. Kids of all ages will enjoy it. It is not a large museum in the number of trolleys on display. But you can spend several hours looking through the ones that... More

The Trolley Museum brings back so many fond family memories for me. When my cousins and I were young our families would take an annual summer trip to the ride on the trolley's and always followed by going to Big Daddy's in Wells for my favorite homemade peppermint stick ice cream. Not only were we thrilled to ride the trolleys,... More

This is just one of those places you have to go. We went as a family of ages 7 to 85, and it was the 85 year old and his 7 year old clone who wanted to go. I thought, oh great! This'll be fun...eww! While I didn't think I'd enjoy it, the Trolley Museum surprised me. It was actually... More

We were taken here by the friends we were visiting. It is a real find. We had an enjoyable trolley ride into the woods and then went to the various buildings to see the trolleys. It was interesting to see the area where they are restoring the trolleys. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and the gift shop had some interesting... More

This is a gem! I loved climbing through all the trolleys with my family. The kids loved riding the trolleys and so did I! The conductors are so knowledgeable.
