We went on this drive on a cold, windy, rainy day and it was still a gorgeous sight. The waves crashing into the rocks, the beautiful homes, it was wonderful. There are a couple of places to pull off and take pictures, etc. If you are in the area, you should drive through at least once.

The most scenic drive in Kennebunkport! Huge mansions and ocean views that will make you do a double take. Of course, nothing beats checking out the Bush`s residence. Sometimes,we get to talk to Barbara on the beach when she walks her talks!

Jefferds Inn is located off of Ocean Drive. This is a lovely drive past two each clubs, beautiful cedar shake-style homes, past the massive Colony Hotel...stop in at Arundel Beach across from the Colony. Walk out on the rock pier. Watch the sunset from your car with a cup of coffee or tea. Continue on and you'll seed the Bush... More

My husband and I were so pleased to drive Ocean Avenue after breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. The views for absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't get over the fact that it was around 20-30°F outside and there were people surfing off the beach!

Off-season is the only sane time to take this trip along one of Maine’s more scenic shore drives. Among the sights on the roughly 2-mile (3.2-km) seaside route are Walker’s Point, St Ann’s Episcopal Church, Nonantum Resort, the Colony Hotel, Cape Arundel Inn, and a few big houses with grand ocean views. You’ll find very few turnouts after you pass... More

We liked the ocean view of course! A great place to go for a walk and listen to the ocean. It was very relaxing and restful.

See how "the others" live. Beatiful homes I can only dream of. Take your time and enjoy a pleasant ride looking at the wealth that is in abundance.

We drove along Ocean Avenue in the fall on a Saturday afternoon in October and there was little traffic. It's a two lane road and it would not be fun to drive if there were many cars, as it's the type of place where we would like to take our time and savor the views. My suggestion: if Kennebunkport seems... More

Ocean Avenue is the heart of Kennebunkport. Anything you need or want can be found there. Restaurants, ice cream shops, the best lobster rolls, etc. Even just walking to and from our hotel which was also about a 10 minute walk from town on Ocean Avenue was a treat. There is a nice beach with free parking (which is unheard... More
