When in Maine you MUST go out onto the water. The best way to do it is on a sailing ship. The Pineapple is a two mast based in Kennebunkport Maine. This is the best way to spend a couple of relaxing hours feeling the wind and the waves (light when we were sailing) and cruise up and down the... More

My family has been chartering an afternoon on the Pineapple Ketch every summer for more than 5 years. It is a great boat with plenty of space to spread out and catch some rays. The crew is top notch and so friendly. Once the boat clears the harbor area, the coastal views are amazing. This past summer we even saw... More

Only four passengers on the ship. We had a great captain and mate. They were friendly and competent. The weather was perfect and the seas were gentle. Two hour cruise on a beautiful day - we got there ten minutes before and there was no wait.

Captain John offers a great 2 hour sail out of Kennebunkport. Great fun to view Walkers Point (The Bush Compound) from the sea. The Pineapple Ketch with its 40ft and 4 sails provides a real sailing experience. The captain and crew are real pros and do a great job answering the many questions of young and old alike! Thanks for... More

My husband and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing sail at sunset. We would have preferred an adults-only option for a sunset sail, but for the price ($40 pp) it was definitely worth the trip. Bring a blanket, wine and cheese, and enjoy! The Captain and first mate were very kind... they didn't talk your ear off with useless information... unless... More

We chartered the boat with a group of friends for a evening sail. The captain and first mate were very friendly, explained safety issues quickly but clearly, and were helpful in getting drinks and sweaters from below deck whenever they were needed. We took wine along and had a great sail around the coast. Great evening.

This was our second outing on the Pineapple Ketch, and it was quite calm... I would have to say that we preferred our first outing about three years ago. We loved our captain, and his charming first mate, but on the last outing the first mate was a young fellow who was so informational it was amazing - lots of... More

We had a couple of hours to fill before a destination wedding and this was a great way to enjoy some relaxing time in the sun. Captain and mate were polite, friendly and competent with the boat. Not much on tourist type info on what we were sailing past up the coast and not too much wind in this particular... More

What is better than a relaxing vacation to the Northeast? An even more relaxing sail on the waters off of Kennebunkport with Christo and crew (on our trip, it was Amanda). Christo and Amanda were amazingly friendly and down-to-earth, taking time to answer even the most simplistic of questions. They did not overwhelm us by talking the entire time, but... More

Captain Christos offers 3 two hour sails as well as the opportunity to charter his boat. We did the sunset cruise (5-7 PM, not quite sunset) on a warm, cloud-free day. He has 12 passengers on his sailboat with a crew of one other ( Amanda ). Leaving KBPT and going past many boats, St. Anne's church, Walkers Point and... More
