Very nice, clean, well-maintained beach. Parking is tough to find. Beach is open for dog walking before 9am and after 5pm.

Kennebunk and Kennebunkport area are not interested in daily visitors to their beaches outside of their own residents. You must buy a permit ($15 a day for non-residents) in order to park on any street in these towns that is near any of the beaches. The only place you can buy a permit is the own Hall or a store... This is a huge beach and probably the most popular in Kennebunk (NOT Kennebunkport which is a different town). It is the best beach for people watching, swimming and based on the number of surfers sitting on still waters, surfing. The only problem is that most of the beach disappears at high tide. If you plant your blanket at the... More

According to locals this is the best place to surf. There is scarcely any beach when the tide is high, but the beauty of the scenery and the surrounding is worth seeing.

Same comments that I left for Kennebunk beach. Hard to park and high walls so you have to find the stairs and bring all your things till there. Nice, large and clean besides the toilets. The city should take care of that more often during the week.

Great crescent shaped beach. Always folks surfing. Family oriented. Small beach at high tide. Parking a major challenge. Dogs allowed before 9am and after 5pm. Very entertaining.

Unlike most ocean access in Maine, this beach is sandy, not rocky, and the water is warm. Even the locals said that it was especially warm this year. At low tide, there seems to be enough room for everyone, but at high tide, there's precious little sand between the water and the sea wall. The beach is in an area... More

We recently rented a house on Beach Ave in Kennebunk, Maine for a week. We woke up the first morning to many barking dogs on the beach at about 5:00 AM . . . only to be followed by an absolute beach kennel with hundreds of dogs running free for the next four hours. Unbenounced to us, dogs are allowed... More

This is probably your best option for a walking beach in Kennebunk. Parking is permit only so you will need to walk or take an expensive taxi. Great beach though and the water was clear in June
