This beach is beautiful. It can be crowded in the summer and the parking can be a challenge. The beach is clean and the perfect place to sit or walk and watch the waves. Good place for kids because it is so flat and minimal rocks.

This beach is a primary reason why Kennebunk is rated one of the most dog-friendly towns in New England-a huge area with surfing, swimming, tanning, etc. Also spectacular views.
Lovely deserted beach. We had this place to ourselves, so we just found a nice bit of sand & sat & relaxed in the sun doing a bit of reading.
My husband and I travelled with our dog who thoroughly enjoyed running and playing on the beach since it was off-season and dogs were allowed. Her first time in the ocean also.
Can imagine crazy traffic during peak season. october, not much so we were able to park on the street and walk the beach. Clean. many families with dogs walking. Very nice.
My wife and I liked this beach better than Kennebunport Beach. A little more peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. A lot of nice homes around the area. This is where we parked and started our walk to Nennebunport Beach.
Gooch's Beach was great. It is a nice long beach where you can walk for quite distance and look for shells or sea glass. We saw a lot of dogs frolicking in the water which was fun to watch.
Loved the close proximity to town and the pretty people. The sand is hard packed which lends itself not only to normal beach activities like Frisbee and Smashball but is perfect for bocce ball and croquet. The water was surprisingly warm and every now again would have a surfable break.
Gooch's Beach is loved by surfers, swimmers, sunbathers, kids, walkers and dogs. Too bad that you need a permit to park there all the time in the summer season. So, that's it for us-- can't go there, not even in the evening- bummer
The waters are clear and refreshing with enough waves to be fun but not enough to be intimidating. Rocks offer a chance to explore or you can simply enjoy the view from your beach chair. Be sure to check the tide schedule and plan your visit around it- the beach practically dusappears at high tide!
