This was a great find. I casually mentioned to a Lithuanian co-worker that I would be near here, and he was right about this being a great outdoor place of serenity. Take your camera and tour the grounds outside. The paved walkway opens to several lovely views of the port, and there are lovely statues of several saints as well... More

A walk here is just what the doctor ordered! Had been on holiday from Australia for about 3 weeks so we were having a splendid time but it can all get a bit hectic and fast paced...especially spending the first 2 weeks in NY! This section of our trip was proving to be a much more relaxing and calmer time...very... More

Stopped here for a pre-dinner stroll. Only place in Kennebunkport where we didn't see a million other tourists.

The extensive grounds include paths to walk or cycle along to enjoy the peace and tranquil environment with some lovely views to the other side of the river. One of the attractions is a quaint gift shop selling all sorts of religious books and religious items and jewellery, and quite a lot of tat too, but certainly worth spending a... More

Very neat, never seen anything like this before. The architecture was so interesting. There's also a nice nature walk along the water.

We went to St Anthony's Monastery based on the pictures we saw online. It was beautiful, relaxing and quite. My husband loves photography so he took a lot of pictures with his camera. The bathroom on the right side of the building was also clean.

Stopped for a quick visit based on others reviews online. Very peaceful spot in Kennebunkport. Gift job attendant was very nice and sociable. Walked the grounds which are beautiful and hope they never sell the place because it should stay as pristine as is.

If you're looking for a place for a calm walk or some solitude by the sea, take a few minutes to stroll the grounds of this Franciscan Monastery. There is a lot of land here but if you just drive in; it doesn't seem like much.
