Wonderful and friendly people, beautiful walking paths, very quiet and peaceful! The items I purchased in the quaint gift shop were blessed and this wonderful, spiritual man even remembered us from a year ago when we were there last.

Love walking the grounds and visiting the church and gift shop. Just a wonderful spot to visit. It's a place I find so tranquil to pray and meditate at.

Hiked around the grounds in the snow, quiet and peaceful. Chapel was closed but was a nice respite. A true sanctuary, with some neat sculpture on the grounds (Latvian monument, I think).

A wonderful place to visit. Church service by the monks. During Christmas Prelude in December, Christmas carols are sung with a huge attendance of carollers.

We stumbled on this quite by accident, and it proved to be a great bonus. The grounds are beautifully manicured and dotted with large shrines. It was a joy to walk around and visit them and read about their significance. This is a must for anyone interested in religion, architect or just an appreciation of spirituality and meditation. I could... More

When we were children my folks took us here a few times for outdoor Masses in the Grotto when we stayed near Biddeford Pool and/or the Kennebunks for a few weeks in the summer. It's been years since I've visited this Monastery, but the grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the church itself worth a trip inside. When was the... More

Easy walk to hear from the center of town where all the shops and cafes are (it is on the road to the beach). The manicured lawns are nice, but take the modest trails through the woods, and to the waterfront where you will get a nice "reverse" view of the harbor. Religious leaning aside, this is an unexpectedly large... More
