If you're looking for a place for a calm walk or some solitude by the sea, take a few minutes to stroll the grounds of this Franciscan Monastery. There is a lot of land here but if you just drive in; it doesn't seem like much.

For what we saw it wasn't much. Therefor we did not go to the trails. Maybe that was a mistake and we should have done a more thorough look around.

Don't have anything to compare it to... but we really enjoyed this place... it had great walking trails to venture into and sculptures and places to have a quiet moment throughout. We even heard (though didn't see, unfortunately) there was a bald eagle flying over the property the day we were there! The monuments on the grounds were nice as... More

Wonderful views and many interesting trails. The grounds are very well tended. We enjoyed a peaceful walk among the angels and saints. Just lovely.

A very old monastery that still operates. You can go into the church and light a candle, even chat with a monk. The grounds are beautiful. The flowers are everywhere!!! There is also a outside chapel and many walking trails. You can even eat lunch on a picnic table.

Love this place. So peaceful and spiritual. Nothing really describes this lovely property unless you visit yourself. Grotto, lovely church, food, and visitor accomodations if you wish. Can't be beat.

Nice peaceful stop on our trip. We enjoyed a short stroll around the grounds. There is also a hotel there which was interesting as well.

Take a tour of the grounds to quiet down your vacation. The peace and beauty are so worth the effort! Less than 1/2 mile from the main beach, stop in, it only takes 1/2 hour!

When the hustle and bustle gets to be too much, take a short jaunt to St. Anthony's. The grounds are easy to walk and relaxing. Enjoy the quiet of the grotto and other areas. It's a great place to relax, unwind and collect your thoughts. Great way to end the day.
