The two ladies working here should not be, the young man at the dock is very helpful but he is paddling upstream trying to give good service against these ladies. First lady, Jan, in the shop, barely talked to us about our set-up or how their outfit works. Her customer service does not exist. At the dock a young man... More

Enjoyed the tour and the kayaking very much, Gregg the guide was terrific, energetic, happy and fun. My only recommendation would be that they tighten up operations a bit, there's a lot of standing around time that would be more fun spent on the water. But the staff is helpful, Gregg and Andy other guide are terrific, and the scenery... More

I'm sad to say I forgot the owners name who was so friendly and welcoming to our group upon our arrival at 9AM, but she and her staff were a total joy to be with. First off we had two young doggies, a Stafforshire Bull Terrier and Siberian Husky. The owner told me the wonderful stories about her dogs, (German... More

I rented a nice kayak from them. I was given a decent life jacket and paddle. I did not go on a tour. You are not allowed to paddle out to the ocean on your own but you may paddle down stream a bit to check out the harbor. Once up stream the Kennebunk river is quiet and beautiful. There... More

My wife and I did the kayak tour out to Cape Porpoise and it was great! Gregg, our guide, was very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining- and took lots of pictures of the group. My wife and I took a tandem kayak and never had any issues keeping up with the crowd. The trip was split up perfectly with a trip... More

We took the tour as a group of six and had a great time. Despite a questionable weather forecast, we were assured that our safety would be their goal. We had a great time and Gregg was informative and fun. I found it a little difficult to keep up with the group at times, and I would have really liked... More

I booked nearly a month in advance by calling, finding the right time for tides, AND giving my credit card number. We showed up 30 minutes in advance of our 11:00am reservation and waited patiently in line only to be told that "we don't have any boat for you". I say, "but we have a reservation for 11am" and the... More

First, be prepared for a slooowww paddle. They let anyone paddle, even very young children. Second, the guide Gregg made a big show about thunderstorm safety. Made us wait 20-30 minutes at put-in because a rumble of thunder was heard. FIne. I'm all for safety. But as we put in after lunch the sky to the north was black, thunder... More

We were 3 girls with a free morning. We rented 3 kayaks in town and headed up the river for a couple of hours of relaxing kayaking, which was a completely fun experience. We stopped at Picnic rock and threw ourselves in the water with lots of happy screaming. The next day we returned to Coastal Maine Kayak and bike... More
