I was recently in Maine for some R&R and nature and booked a moose safari via canoe through this store. Ashley, the guide, was the most amazing, knowledgable, and hysterical guide I have ever met. Northwoods Outfitters was great to work with. Mark recommended an alternate location for our canoe trip after I had done my "research" and I'm very thankful we took his advice. Recommendations for campsites worked out great. We encountered only the ranger a couple of times, no one but my us and a good selection of critters. So all of the... more

This was great! In Boston from Florida looking for something to do...whale watching we did but decided to go see some moose. I don't give 5's very often, but this group certainly deserved them. We were in Maine in May, 2008 for 3 days, and were hoping to finally see a moose in person. My family just returned from a wonderful trip to the moosehead lake region. WE rented a beautiful log cabin from Northwoods Camp Rentals right on the water.
