Nice beaches, more sand than rock. The locals swim and maybe the Canadians but too cold for a Florida boy. Good bathrooms and changing rooms. Picturesque. Picnic areas with grills. I had bet that there wouldn't be a grill available. I was wrong. Biggest Seagulls I've ever seen. Very natural preserve kind of surroundings. Tides are huge so it looks... More

We visited this park primarily for photo ops. I wanted a rocky shoreline for photography and this place delivered. It also has a beautiful beach and lagoon. Many trails throughout the park with lovely picnic spots scattered about. Each picnic spot was quite private tucked in the trees and hedgerows. We spent a fair amount of time here just because... When we go to Maine, we prefer a rock coastline. Reid State Park has a coast for everyone. We are birders and had several new additions to our list.

This is by far one of the most pristine beaches I've ever seen. Just beautiful. Large clean public restrooms. A "must-see" when in the area.

A local directed us to Reid State Park and we thoroughly enjoyed this spot on the coast. We visited in early October and there were few people around. It has a nice sand beach and a rocky coast line. Looks like a good place to swim, but we didn't have our suits. It is a great place to come and... More

Good hiking, loop trail goes through the woods on a park maintenance road and comes back out at the rocky beach. Interesting shoreline. Lots of flies at the time of the year that we travelled, but could be related to climate change.

Great place to picnic, walk, swim and fish. Beautiful views and clean accommodations. Fees for out of state seniors $2.00. Do not pass bye without stopping.

A georgeous sunny September Day for a walk along the beautiful Maine coast on a virtually deserted beach with crashing Atlantic Waves, stunning scenery

Note that negative reviews about this area are from early summer when bugs (black & green flies, etc.) are usually nasty everywhere in Maine...The joke is they come at the beginning of summer to chase the tourists away! Other times - particularly August, Fall and even winter - are spectacular! There are wonderful rocks to climb on and sandy beach... More

I have been going to Reid State Park since I was five years old. It has always been my best place in Maine to visit. That's sixty years of wonderful adventures at the best of the best!!! Couples, families with young and older children, friends, by yourself of business outings, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
