I lived in Georgetown about three miles from Reid State Park for over two years. As the mother of 6 children myself and having fostered MANY others over my lifetime, I HIGHLY recommend this park and the beaches there for families. I love the series of smaller beaches for the little ones. It makes it so easy to have play... More

It's several months since we visited Maine and I still think about this beach often. It's wild and rugged and to us felt like it should be far further north. There are no buildings to be seen and even in August had few people there. Not a place for small children to swim, but somewhere just to enjoy the big... More

This park is an absolute gem! Lovely long beaches, and forested trails to enjoy. If you don't want to trek all the way to Acadia National Park, this park is a lovely alternative.

It was a cold and windy day when we came so we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked. The views are amazing and a photographer's dream. Lots of hiking and walking to do, or just sit and relax on the shore. It wasn't crowded at all so it was very peaceful and tranquil. I'd you're in the... More

Reid State Park is at the end of a pretty country road. The park is beautiful. You have rocks to climb on for great vistas. A long sandy beach for a nice walk, and a scenic lake picnic area.

Beautiful day on the beach today. Whether you are walk-the- beach or sit-and-see kind of beach person, Reid State Park offers a delight to the senses. Both rocky shore and sandy beach are there. Open waves and sheltered coves with seabirds of all sorts to see and hear. No parking fee off season.

Reid State Park is at the long end of a beautiful windy road on the peninsula of Georgetown Maine. It's long, about 11 miles, but sooo worth it!! It is a state park, replete w/ the garrulous park ranger taking your money. You will see the most amazing views out on the point. Go in the day for the swiming... More

Great park with beaches and a swimming cove that would be great for kids. Plenty of picnic tables in different areas and a nice bathroom/bath house.

There were several different choices of beaches to enjoy, and we ended up with a nice spot near the end. It is very family oriented, so bring a picnic and enjoy the day.
