We stopped in here after seeing an advertisement the Easter Bunny would be present. We were in Freeport over Easter weekend, and wanted somewhere to take my almost 2 yo son. I was shocked that they didn't charge and allowed you to take your own picture, as well as gave away little bags of candy. While my son was more... More

I wanted something sweet to eat while we walked around Freeport. We stopped in here on a whim. We got some chocolate and peanut butter fudge and assortment of truffles. The fudge had an odd texture and was flavorless. The chocolate truffles were good, but the other flavors are horrible. Eating them I felt like I was eating a cheap... More

This place has just about everything you can imagine made with or covered with chocolate. Wilbur's is a Maine tradition and they take pride in the quality of their products. The prices are pocketbook friendly and there are plenty of treats that the kids will enjoy. Definitely worth a visit.

We always stop here and select a delicious truffle as well as frozen pie to take back to the RV for a treat. Most of the candy display cases eyeball high to a small child so be prepared. There is sufficient variety to please any taste. They have jams and jelly as well. October is just around the corner and... More

I did this in front of someone that never had tasted Wilbur's. They started drooling, then the first bit and they broke into the "very well pleased" smile. I've enjoyed chocolates around the world. Now I don't have to travel any further!!

Watching them make these chocolate goodies was amazing. This is more than a store, it's an experience. Family owned and run, they have everything you could want in the way of sweets and other goodies. Worth a visit!

We went for a tour of the factory which was conducted by Mr. Wilbur. We wound up trying a lot of different candies and bought some to take home. The chocolate covered blueberries are to die for.

The chocolates are good, not the best but good. Lots of things to choose from, pre-packaged or pick your own from the counter. I bought pre-packaged treats that I gave as gifts. The shop has other Maine products for sale such as locally made jams, salsas and honey. Person at register was friendly. I did like the chocolate covered cherries... More
