Ive only heard great things about LL Bean. I was just informed of LL Bean in Freeport and I knew I had to make a trip. They have everything an outdoorsy person could want-from bikes, boats, kayaks, snowshoeing, to clothes, lots and lots of sales, all the way to hunting stuff to homewares and linen. I do admit I loved... More

Great place and HUGE. Everyone who works here is very helpful with your questions about all the products in the store.

I bought a set of snowshoes from LL Bean about 7 or 8 years ago and loved them until a clip on the back strap broke recently. We called LL Bean and they sent me a brand new pair (for free) in about 3 days. I just needed to send back the old pair (in the box they sent me... More

We spent an early afternoon shopping there. Many outlet stores are now in Freeport which is a bit of a change from my last visit quite a few years ago. So it is crowded. And finding parking can be a bit of a challenge even with all that is provided. But once parked it was only a few blocks to... More

LL Bean is always open and even in the darkest and coldest of nights you can go in and feel safe and cozy...and, of course, shop! The staff are always helpful and friendly. So it almost feels like you're coming home to family!

We were on our way to visit relatives in Bangor, but took the side trip to Freeport, just to shop at L.L. Bean. I had brought along a L.L. Bean coat I had for several years. The lining in the arm had given way and ripped and the very nice associate at customer service examined it and gave me a... More

If you are looking for outdoor gear or cabin type housewares, it is a great place, but when we went the shelves were pretty empty. There are a variety of other outlets with some decent deals in the area.

The only thing missing here are rides! If you come here and have the least passing interest in outdoors, clothing, fashion, footwear, sweaters or dressing comfortably, prepare to spend some time here exploring. There is a vast selection spread over three levels and plenty to browse, feel and try on. I found some selections I would have hesitated to order... More

If you want winter gear or checked shirts fine! Not my idea of sophisticated shopping. More climbing boots and walking jackets. Not for me.
