We drove past Freeport, Maine on the interstate two years ago enroute from Kittery shopping to Bar Harbour sightseeing and decided that we would return to Freeport sometime and this spring was the time. Luckily the weather was sunny and warm for this trip which made the experience much more pleasureable. We liked the idea of the village main street... More

What better way to spend a wet and windy April afternoon. The village itself is very pleasant and well laid out, just off the I295, about a dozen miles north of Portland, with loads of free parking and the bargains abound. Amongst our favorite bargains today were a couple of nice pairs of shoes and boots in Bass at $16.99... More

There's nothing like it! Shopping in Freeport...whether you buy or not, there is a lot to choose from! Fun day..LL.Bean, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Polo, Tommy Hiifiger...I could go on and on. There is something for everyone! Very dog friendly...and dog stores, too. Eating a hot dog on Main Street~always fun! We have gone here for years and years~and we... More

We had a great time on New Year's Eve at the L.L. Bean New Year's Eve celebration. Many things to do in Freeport. From shopping, to sightseeing. If you have kids, this is a great place to go for New Year's Eve. The celebrations start early on Dec 31st and finish around 6:00pm with fireworks. More

We went on Saturday after Black Friday! I think the shopping in Kittery is better, but there is a huge LL Bean here for those who like it! More

LL Bean is definitely the draw to Freeport but there are many other shops that rival Kittery for outlet shopping. Having visited both, I would definitely prefer Freeport because of the layout of the stores and the ability to stroll down the street from shop to shop. Excellent shopping area! More

I always like stopping into Freeport on my way home from Portsmouth NH. The town feel of this Outlet mecca is what attracts soooo many shoppers. Here's some of my favorite shops - find your ahead of time by googling Freeport outlets online and printing out a map. • L.L Bean Home (WOW), North Face, Nine West, Ralph Lauren, Tommy... More
