i was there in October.. Everyone should include Alex Larenty when they visit the Lion Park. Amazing. Awesome. I felt all of these Lions should be in their own habitat. But because of human encroachment that can't happen unfortunately. Also definitely do the Cheetah walk. I could do that with Felix everyday. Same said about these awesome cats. would love... More

Not really sure what I expected but this was not it, I had in my mind, Lions roaming freely in large spaces but this appeared to me to be a zoo in disguise. The lions wander about in over sized pens but not really of a size that I expected; to give them freedom to run around. Such beautiful creatures... More

So yea it's my first time in RSA and my first time seeing animals like these up close! The park itself is quite cool! really enjoyed it. Though getting there was a pain! had to go through the back roads...dirt tracks really, because of some bicycling event! So...if y'all decide to go there...check up on any possible road blocks! Some... More

I contacted the team at the lion park and they quickly set up my schedule including transport on very short notice - and done with ease. My pick up was early ('I didn't want to arrive late at your hotel') which I always prefer rather than being late ... And arrived safely at the park soon after. I immediately jumped... More

They provided good service from start where they picked up our group. Well organized and given us tickets at the entrance. We were very lucky be there exactly at the feeding time which is quite rare. Tour guide was awesome, his sole effort was to give a nice outline description which is very funny and lively. The lion cub area... More

Dear George Thank you so much for your posting on Trip Advisor. What you experienced in the restaurant and the ablutions is without doubt totally unacceptable. I am currently looking into this and it will be dealt with by the owner. We have a very strict Customer service policy and we would like to reimburse you for the day. Including... More

As long as you accept this is effectively a zoo but a very good one then your expectations will be well managed. It's very well laid out, and it's perfectly safe and easy to self drive with the ability to get close to fully grown lions, (feeding time 12:00 on a Sunday) ad well as get in the enclosure and... Great chance to get up close to lion cubs, they were around 9-10 months old the younger ones we were able to get photos of but to protect them form infections they were kept in a nursery. We took a guided drive and got close to a number of loins who were in the normal lazy mood that captive lions... More

My family and I visited the Lion Park on a whim one Saturday in June of this year. It was a fantastic experience, worth every cent! The knowledge of our guide was vast and he had a sense of humour second to none! In addition to his vast knowledge, the animals were up and about and put on an impressive... More

Great way to see the animals up close. About 30 minutes drive from Jo'Berg. We went on a self drive excursion - saw zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, ostrich, hyenas, giraffes etc. costs ZAR 200 in case you want to interact with the cubs (pet them for a few minutes). Irrespective if whether you chose to interact or not - the... More
