Good coffee(s), kitchen specialty goods and knowledgeable staff. Stop here en route to Bar Harbor if you want a taste of Maine before winding up in Acadia National Park

We found Rooster Brother Coffee Roasters by accident. We were mailing packages to our grandchildren and asked the post mistress at the PO where we could get good coffee. She directed us to Rooster Brother and next thing we knew we found one of the best things of our trip to Maine. It goes on our list right behind Acadia,... More

We frequently buy coffee on line from Rooster Brother. They offer a substantial variety, each at an appropriate price, continue to sell by the 16 oz. pound (not 12 oz., or 10.3 oz. etc.) and their turnaround time from on line order to delivery is super.

We stopped here thinking we could buy lunch. While they did have sandwiches, there was only one kind which I didn't want. It did look very well made though. But...we decided to get a couple of chocolate chip cookies on the way out. They were amazing. Quite possibly one of the best cookies ever.

We wanted to stop for the best molasses cookies on our way onto Mt Desert, but it was closing time, so we stopped on our way out. Looking for a good latte on our way out, we weren't disappointed. Enjoyed the brioche with meat & cheese, scone & turnover. What a surprise that we could just stroll down to tables... More

If you like to cook and eat then Rooster Bros is the store for you. They have a ridiculous array of cookware and accessories, roast coffee on premises, and have a super knowledgeable and passionate staff...all in deep Downeast Maine. Don't miss it.

Wonderful home-roasted coffee, cooking supplies, cold cuts, salads, wines at very good prices. A gem in downtown Ellsworth. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Discounts in the summer upstairs. We visit at least once a week.

Everything under the sun, to ensure a good meal is in your near future. A great shop with nice selection of bread and cheeses. The coffee is plentiful and hearty! Loved it! The staff very kind and helpful. Stopped in on Monday for the "acclaimed" pretzel and they do not make them on Monday. Stopped back on Wednesday at 3:30... More
