The art is everywhere and some of the most creative pieces you have ever seen. Where else can you walk into art? AND have a sandbox for your four year old to entertain herself in while you can actually sit and enjoy your coffee, homemade scone with the best jam in the world? AND the cleanest porta-potty I have ever... More

We have been here five times over the last 11 years and still love to visit, especially when we bring someone who has never been here before. You just cannot describe the "different" sculptures and buildings/scenes---and there are more each year-plus the different food lines are also increasing along with all kinds of gifts. It is a One of a... More

We took a trip to this place not knowing what it was. Well I can honestly say we had 2 hours of peace, amusement, entertainment, and just total relaxation. In the middle of nowhere. Just past the third star on the right you come to this never never land. Oh how worthwhile it is to find. We were welcomed by a... More

The Jams and Jellies are a bonus! They are sooo good, but if you are going there in person, physically, Peter Beerits are is a treat for all ages! Art based on child hood memories and fantasy, with metal! All I can say is it feels real and wonderful!

Imagine visiting an outdoor/indoor sculpture garden, a Maine Food/Gift shop and possibly a nature walk from the 70's all at the same time! We have been here 4 times over the last 10 years and plan to return in 2014. It is almost in the middle of nowhere-near Stonington on Deer Isle Maine--but well worth the trip. You can make... More

Great jams, jellies, and chutney's with an eclectic small city. I know it is a bit of a drive well off the beaten path but it is well worth it. All of the jams and jellies are great but my personal favorite is the Hot Tomato Chutney. The B&B we stayed at in Bar Harbor used these products every morning... More

Anne's jams and jellies are so delicious, particularly when combined with one of her delectable scones and accompanied by a steaming cup of coffee... a day doesn't start much better than this! Savor every bit and then lick your fingers! Luckily, all the jellies are available to purchase; I heartily recommend the Blue Razz conserve and the Cherry Peach conserve.... More

You can spend an hour sampling all of the jellies, jams and chutneys, just browsing the store and visiting with Anne. We had a case of all different flavors shipped to Texas so we didn't have to fly extra luggage and it was here the day promised, the day after we got home. But don't leave without strolling through Peter's... More

The jams & jellies which are made right here are wonderful!!! I had a chance to experience a "tea party " with 8 friends here which included fresh, hot scones with your choice of jams or jellies and tea. It has been a VERY, VERY long time since I have been to a tea party and let me say, it... More

Our family had a fun morning exploring nervous nellies....the old west facade was a big hit, especially with our children who are currently watching Dr. Quinn (set in Colorado during the 1800's) The woods were less impressive, some rusty junk scattered around with a few sculptures here and there. the staff making the jellies were sweet & eager to answer...
