My second favorite beach on the East Coast

Low density of annoying people. Easy to get to. Wide beach. I like to walk my dog here off season. No waves which is a plus with kids but less so if you want to surf.

A charming, unpretentious, miles long beach. Seems untouched by time, except for some new houses and spotlessly clean

We first stumbled upon this beach three years ago and was mesmerized by one seagull that used skill to get food by stomping in puddles. When we returned this year we were greeted by the same process. Ingenious!. Unfortunately the area must have sustained some nasty storms this year because all of the dune grasses had disappeared from the cordoned... More

Beautiful wide, empty beach. The perfect spot to get away from all the touristy shopping. Incredible views, fresh air, easy parking.

A nice beach. Very clean and quiet in September. Parking may be difficult during summer. We were able to find a spot after a few minutes and there were maybe 6 other people on the beach! Not many shells but beautiful all the same.

I'm not normally given to exaggeration, but this must be one of the loveliest beaches I've been to in the world (and I've travelled a LOT). It's long, it's sandy, it's somehow also kinda calm. There's a ridge too at one end (out to sea) so you can see waves breaking over, but when the tide's out, then there's nothing... More

Perfect anytime of the day for a long walk, biking, or kayaking (we did all three within one day). The tides are really impressive and change the landscape dramatically

What a gorgeous white sand very large beach. Very limited free parking, but we were here off season, so managed a spot. We're very surprised by the beautiful turquoise water and long beach.

A very quiet beach 3 mile long where it is pleasant toi have a walk. Parking not very easy during peak season. Quiet waters good for swimming

Great views and beautiful natural areas. Broad sandy beach and huge seaweed covered boulders that are slowly revealed at the tide moves out.
