Adjacent to the lovely Camden Public Library, which sits on the highest point on Camden's Main Street, the outdoor amphitheater was designed and constructed in the late 1920's, early 30's. The views from there, the library grounds, and two acre Harbor Park are spectacular. We are so glad that by accidentt, when walking in the park, we discovered it.The Amphitheatre... More

Walking through and sitting overlooking the waterfall and harbor area is a must see spot. The amphitheatre is very inviting and it makes on wish there was a show as we walked through. The library in the background is a pretty site as well and the architecture worth viewing from the grassy area behind.

Wonderful place to view Camden Harbor and schooners. In summer free tours of Camden downtown from Camden Public library which is right next to Amphitheatre. The library itself is a great place to visit. A National Historic landmark.

Whether it is just sitting on the benches overlooking the water watching the ducks, and swans and seagulls while enjoying a sandwich lunch and reading a book or wandering over the wooden "duck walks" that connect a large part of the marina or sitting having a drink at one of the restaurants watching the boats come in, it is the... This lovely, secluded, and peaceful nook has been used for concerts, weddings, and passersby... It's allure is that it is a place of solitude, a One-size -fits -all. Whatever the celebration and whomever visits, for whatever purpose, you leave with a sense of being part of something bigger, in awe of nature's design, and a feeling of blessedness. The only... The Maine coast offers many options. This is just so spectacular as a town visit with the overlooking park across the road. Fab place to wander and see one of the most stunning towns on the Maine coast. Families can wander freely or go for day sails and music, theatre and a look into the Summer past. Adults will find... A really pretty little harbor and park area. Lots of people watching. Shops and restaurants aplenty in the area. Parking can be a challenge on a busy day but worth the effort. Check out the side streets.

We go to Maine every fall. We love the coast of Maine for its picturesque fishing villages. We think Camden is the most beautiful Every fall I go to the top of the hill in this small park (designed by Frederick Law Olmstead), sit on a bench and just enjoy the view. On a sunny afternoon, I feel like I... More

This place is one of the most adorable towns I have ever had the pleasure of driving through. It is so clean and beautiful. Wish I could have stopped and explored, but you can see the harbor and it is adorable!
