Our two nieces were visiting Maine from Connecticut and we took them on the Olad in Camden for a two hour sail. It was just great. The two men were very friendly and knowledgeable, LOVED the photo given to us at the end of the sail. That was a nice touch. Camden is a beautiful place to visit. If you... More

While in Camden, I decided to go on the Olad and it was a lovely morning. We motored over to the rocks, where we saw seals and porpoises and sailed back around the Curtis Island light house. The crew was extremely entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. It's a bit pricey, but is definitely something to check out.

We had not planned to include a water excursion in our trip to the Maine coast but this looked like fun, so we gave it a try. Good move! Seeing the harbor and Penobscot Bay from the water was a huge addition to our visit, especially on such a beautiful sailing vessel. The crew was both entertaining and professional, making... More

We went on the sunset cruise from 7-9pm. The cruise was fun and relaxing. The Captain and mate could not have been nicer. The price was reasonable and I'll do it again next trip.

When the sailor says "Oh boy!" you know you are in for a ride! We chartered the 6-seat Sailing Vessel Owl, the small sailboat in the Maine Schooners fleet, for a 3 hour cruise around Penobscot Bay. We thought it would be a peaceful, quiet float and brought a picnic along for on-board treats. But the wind was up that... More

This sail and lobster dinner cruise is probably "up there" as being one of the best experiences we have had for our cousin reunions. From the very beginning, when I first contacted Aaron regarding the date and making the reservation, I found both he and his staff excellent to work with...always returning calls and answering questions. The amount of time... More

We selected the Olad from the many choices for day sails and were not disappointed. Trip Advisor is great to research attractions that someone as I know nothing about. Capt Aaron shared knowledge of the area, shared stories of local folks, famous summer vactioners and introduced us to "Hank" the seal. Easy access to boat with picturesque views as leave... More

We were celebrating our 50th and wanted something different but not to take up all day, a Windjammer seemed to fit the bill. The sail vessel Olad was what we chose based on some locals in Camden, ME and we were pleased with every aspect. A considerate, interactive crew that explained much about the local history, Islands and points of... More

The ride lasted two hours and in that time you just sail out of he harbor and back. Loving to sail, it seemed like a very short ride but would be a great initial excursion for so done unsure of how they will feel on a sailboat. We did sail by an island and saw seals, the weather was perfect... More

Sailing on windjammer Olad is great fun. Impressive but comfy, just the right size: big enough for tall-masted drama when sails fill, but small enough not to feel like a crowd. Ship and crew are exceptional. I recommend sail that's at least half-day; 2-hour cruise needs by necessity to remain near inner harbor. That's pleasant, but the real sailing pleasure... More
